Meet Empress Joshett

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Empress Joshett. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Empress below.

Empress, thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts with us today. We’re excited to dive into your story and your work, but first let’s start with a broader topic that might be stopping many of our readers from pursuing their dreams – haters, nay-sayers, etc. How have you managed to persist despite haters and nay-sayers that inevitably follow folks who are doing something unique, special or off the beaten path?
The only way to persist regardless of the nay-sayers is to alchemize the energy. A simple energy exchange. I turned the negativity projected on to me into productivity. What they really want you to do is give up. Unconsciously not knowing that they want you to fail because they may not themselves be able to obtain it due to their own lack of confidence and drive. Giving up is not an option. As that is the result of giving in to the limiting belief of others mindset, not mine. This naturally is me walking in my path as I’m simply being myself and there is no way to stop being myself. I see it as a challenge to be conquered. I see it as not giving in to what they want but being something amazingly different. Let people continue to talk as they always have talked and you can’t stop them from it, so I choose to be unbothered. It’s mental strength.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?
I am simply the messenger, the seer the healer. I provide knowledge for self empowerment, understanding and clarity. I often give confirmation to others intuition so that they may learn to trust themselves. Often, I’m not telling people anything they don’t know.I’m just speaking it out loud of what they already felt,as we are not taught how to even listen to ourselves. Everyday my brand is about changing perspective,to where one can transform what they want that seems impossible as actually possible. Turning dreams into reality and learning to heal oneself to be able to let go of what no longer serves them.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
Be optimistic.Understand that slow and steady wins the race. So patience with self and the process is vital. Unwavering faith in your personal journey. It doesn’t mean it’s going to look like anyone else’s and what works for someone else may not work for you. Know that you will always be learning and growing, you never know everything ,there is always something to learn and improve.

As we end our chat, is there a book you can leave people with that’s been meaningful to you and your development?
The book that has literally helped me transform is The Four Agreements. This was a gift from someone who was close and dear to me and still is. This book literally unlocked limiting beliefs I had of myself that was created by the projection of others and others opinions and thoughts. The agreements that were created not by me but by those who surrounded me. A quote I think of daily is
“Don’t take anything personally, because by taking things personally you set yourself up to suffer for nothing.”
“Be impeccable with our words as words have the ability to cast spells good or bad”
Lastly
“Always do your best,it may not always look the same depending on how you feel but doing your best is the way to go.”
