We caught up with the brilliant and insightful EMxJ a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
EMxJ, we’re so excited for our community to get to know you and learn from your journey and the wisdom you’ve acquired over time. Let’s kick things off with a discussion on self-confidence and self-esteem. How did you develop yours?
Study the greats..
Consistency and discipline.
Everyday doing the little things that will bore one to death, like write for over an hour straight before even fully waking up. After doing the little things over a thousand times, the above and beyond becomes the norm.
I realized everything is mental, and God had blessed me with every gift capable of reaching my dreams, so long as I stay humble, grateful, and loyal.
Music has always meant so much to me on a spiritual level, it had helped numb alot of pain, and heal alot of pain. It has kept me out of trouble, and now is the main thing that keeps me going.
For my kids, my music will achieve, it has to. So it will.
Trust God, and trust yourself. Not every loss is a failure, sometimes they are just lessons.
If you need a helping hand go check me out, streaming on all platforms @EMxJ.
God bless!
Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
EMxJ is a motivational, hiphop, Musician, who thrives on raising your energy to unknown levels. From his raw gritty vocals, to is awe witty vocals, he is a God fearing, mic gripping, Native kid, climbing his way through the ranks. Does everything on his own no help is needed when God is for you. Keep an ear out, in talks of scheduling my first show, hopefully in Detroit in July. If all goes well, you’ll hear EMxJ on the tv’s very soon. Link up on IG for business inquiries
God bless!
If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Self love. Trust in the process.
Have fun.
Spoil yourself every now and again, celebrate the small victorys. Instead of making a goal of 100 miles, make a goal of 30 and celebrate, 30 more, celebrate, ect.. don’t get run down with the daily grind, let it build you up, it’s all mental. And enjoy it, this is a beautiful unique journey your on that only you can enjoy. Be happy every minute of it, even when you shouldn’t be.. especially then.
Try your hardest for 100 days straight, celebrating every 30 days, and you will be a completely different person for the better.
As we end our chat, is there a book you can leave people with that’s been meaningful to you and your development?
The Kyballion. The lips are shut, but to the ears of understanding.
