Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Evil Intent. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Evil, thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts with us today. We’re excited to dive into your story and your work, but first let’s start with a broader topic that might be stopping many of our readers from pursuing their dreams – haters, nay-sayers, etc. How have you managed to persist despite haters and nay-sayers that inevitably follow folks who are doing something unique, special or off the beaten path?
We’ve always had people that dislike / root on our downfall, and we honestly just stomp right over them and keep going. They can either get on board or be walked over.
Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
We’re Evil Intent from Macon, GA. We’re a melting pot of a bunch of different influences, including shock rock, horror, thrash, death metal, and theatrics.
There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
Looking back we think we just fit into a category that honestly has been lacking in the music world for a while. There’s not allot of bands out there anymore that put their all into their stage presence/show as well as making heavy music. Some advice we would give is, do what you want regardless of what people say. If you love it, do that shit. Fuck gatekeeping, and bring back guitar solos.
Alright, so before we go we want to ask you to take a moment to reflect and share what you think you would do if you somehow knew you only had a decade of life left?
Our biggest challenge currently is just getting out there more. Be that playing bigger shows ( Festivals and such) or just spreading the word of what we’re doing.
