We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Felicia Phillips. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Felicia below.
Hi Felicia, appreciate you sitting with us today to share your wisdom with our readers. So, let’s start with resilience – where do you get your resilience from?
According to the American Psychological Association, resilience is defined as “the process and outcome of successfully adapting to difficult or challenging life experiences, especially through mental, emotional, and behavioral flexibility and adjustment to external and internal demands.”
I get my resilience from my identity as as a believer and my position as a child of God. No matter what challenge I face, I know that it will work out for my good according to the Word of God. That faith allows me to confront challenges head on, accept temporary set backs and continuing pressing toward my goals.
Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?
As a licensed financial services professional, I have the privilege of helping people to literally touch their dreams while continuing to dream big myself and watch those dreams come to pass.
When I gave up my six-figure marketing and communications career and eventually exhausted my 401k to assume the role as a full-time caregiver for both of my parents in 2019, I didn’t think I would ever be in position to bounce back financially. However, I have now found time, income and location freedom in financial services.
I love the ability to show my clients how to use life insurance to create multi-generational wealth. I love giving my clients peace of mind with proper life insurance protection. I love providing strategic retirement options to help my clients plan for the life they desire in retirement without putting their life savings at risk in the market. I love showing parents how to fund college or create a nest egg for their children with our Million Dollar Baby plan.
Imagine saving money from birth to age 21 and and making it possible for your child to fully fund college and take home a six-figure, tax-free income in retirement!
Imagine saving money in an Index account that will grow tax-deferred, allow you to access cash tax-free to buy a car, flip real estate or supplement retirement income and provide a death benefit!
Imagine having a major medical issue and receiving a six or seven figure check from your life insurance carrier to cover medical bills, pay your mortgage or car note while you heal and recover!
I get to help individuals, families and business owners to grow, protect and save money every day and my clients never pay me a dime! My goal is to provide financial literacy and education to show people how to accumulate wealth and increase their net worth.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
I think the three things that have been most influential in my journey has been my faith, possessing a growth mindset and being mentally tough.
If you are going to be successful in business, you must believe that what you do matters! You must believe that you can offer value to your clients and that you have a viable solution to offer. That belief or faith in what you do will give you the boldness to attract your ideal clients and the passion to change lives.
Mindset is everything in life and having a growth mindset is paramount to business success. If you have a closed mindset, you will not win in business. On the contrary, if you have a growth mindset; if you are coachable and open to continous learning and growth, the sky is the limit as to what you can achieve!
Everyone is not built for enrepreneurship. It requires mental toughness and not every çan boast of mental toughness. The good news is that mental toughness can be acquired. If you are confident and obsessed with purpose, nothing will stop you. That unstoppable spirit over time will catapault you to a state of mental toughness.
How can folks who want to work with you connect?
I am always looking for driven, talented, ambitious leaders to join my crusade to close the wealth gap, especially in communities of color. I partner with people across all industries, but realtors, tax professionnals, and credit repair specialists make great partners because we share the same market.
Military professionals, HR executives and recruiters also make great partners because of their discipline, organizational communications skills and ability to attract top talent.
I do not have a job to offer, but I do have an incredible revenue sharing program and a part-time, remote business opportunity for anyone looking for more. It does require a state license and several background checks.
