Meet Florentina Beck

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Florentina Beck. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Florentina, thank you so much for joining us. You are such a positive person and it’s something we really admire and so we wanted to start by asking you where you think your optimism comes from?
Since I can remember, I’ve always maintained a positive attitude. People often described me as a cheerful and adventurous kid, and I believe that laid the foundation for who I am today. Currently, I find myself in the most fulfilling phase of my life — being a mother to two adorable kids. Witnessing their growth and the daily discoveries they make fills my heart with love and underscores the beauty of life.

While the journey hasn’t always been easy, with its share of ups and downs in both my career and personal life, I’ve consistently held onto the belief that there’s more for me. Even during challenging moments, I’ve trusted that brighter days will come, and these darker periods won’t define my life or who I am.

I make a conscious effort to immerse myself in nature and surround myself with my loved ones as much as possible. Being kind to others and seizing opportunities to help someone not only makes me feel human but also deepens my love for life. Celebrating every moment has become a mantra for me, a choice to embrace the incredible journey I’m on.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
I started studying acting at the age of thirteen at the Odhise Paskali School of Art in Peja. I got involved as a very young, happy and enthusiastic girl but I realized that studying or acting wasn’t just fun: it was way more deep and it does require a lot of work and experience. Yet this made me love acting even more. Then, I went on to continue my graduate studies at the Faculty of Arts in Prishtina where I received my Master’s Degree. Besides playing in a hundred plays and theaters, I also was nominated and am 5 times Best Actress winner from different Festivals in Balkans. Just few months ago I won for Best Supporting Actress in Nice Film Festival for my “I, Father” portrayal of Irma, also I was part of “Bini” a film by Erblin Nushi that was nominated for Student Academy Awards.
My favorite part of my job is to build and bring to life different characters. I want to go deeper into their world to get a good analysis of the motives they have, how well they know themselves. Who they are and what they are made of. With their perfect and or unhappy pros and cons. I like to analyze even the smallest details about them. Only after knowing my character well enough, then I get to bring that character to life. Now i live in Los Angeles where i am pursuing my dream.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
Reflecting on my journey, three key elements that truly shaped my path were my innate talent, the art of persuasion, and unwavering confidence, all without any artificial facades. My authenticity has been my greatest asset.

For those embarking on their journey, my advice would be to embrace your uniqueness, hone your skills, and speak your truth with confidence. Develop the ability to connect with others through genuine communication. Remember, success comes not from conforming but from being true to yourself. It’s like playing different roles, but always staying true to the leading lady—YOU.

Before we go, maybe you can tell us a bit about your parents and what you feel was the most impactful thing they did for you?
What a thoughtful question. I owe immense gratitude to my parents for creating a home that was a sanctuary of love, joy, and hope. Their influence taught me the significance of being passionate, holding onto belief, and relentlessly pursuing one’s dreams. They ingrained in me the importance of maintaining a heart filled with love and cultivating a positive outlook.

One of the most impactful aspects of my journey has been the trust they placed in me to pursue an acting career. This trust has been my anchor, providing the strength to navigate challenges, secure in the knowledge that they were unwaveringly by my side. Their support has been my constant, from the smallest public performances to my current ventures in the vibrant landscape of Los Angeles, the ultimate playground for actors. Even from a distance, they continue to be my pillars, offering the courage and assurance I need to forge ahead. Their unwavering belief in my dreams has been the driving force propelling me forward.
