Meet From Birth To Death Devin John and Brandon lee

We recently connected with From Birth To Death Devin John and Brandon lee and have shared our conversation below.

Hi From Birth To Death, really happy you were able to join us today and we’re looking forward to sharing your story and insights with our readers. Let’s start with the heart of it all – purpose. How did you find your purpose?
We are two individuals that were fortunate enough to find our purpose early on in life. We were both heavily influenced and inspired by music, and knew that this was what we wanted from a very young age. On top of Brandon’s grandpa getting him started on the guitar, and Devin’s dad teaching him how to play the drums, we had also spent so much time listening to the songs and watching the concerts of our favorite artists, and eventually we started playing it ourselves.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
We are a heavy metal duo out of Bay City, MI. One of the most thrilling aspects of our craft is composing new music for fans eager for a revival of this particular style of metal. Moreover, we take pride in producing music that resonates deeply with our own artistic tastes.

Our second EP is currently finished and in the works of being released this Summer! We encourage anyone who is interested to follow our social media pages to stay updated, and take a listen of our first EP to hold them over until the second EP is here!

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Simply put, dedication to your craft is the most important and impactful quality you can have. We’ve sacrificed a lot of time and many opportunities in other areas of life for music. If you are early on in your journey, expect to make those same sacrifices and understand that it is a marathon, not a race. Don’t focus on getting to the top of the mountain all at once. Instead, focus on how you’re going to make your next step, no matter how small it may be. Progress is progress.

Looking back over the past 12 months or so, what do you think has been your biggest area of improvement or growth?
Getting our next EP done was our biggest goal, and we are excited to say we completed that. We believe it took our writing as a band and our talent as individuals to the next level as well.
