We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Gabriela Barradas a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Gabriela , thank you for being such a positive, uplifting person. We’ve noticed that so many of the successful folks we’ve had the good fortune of connecting with have high levels of optimism and so we’d love to hear about your optimism and where you think it comes from.
a lot of that comes from living in the present and letting go of the nostalgia of the past and anxiety for the future. living here and now and realizing the impermanence of everything around me, has taught me to enjoy the beautiful moments to the fullest and when the path feels challenging I remember that ‘this too shall pass’ and that life gets better and better every time so I see that as an opportunity and integrate it as a lesson. i truly belive that from the most challeging moments comes the most magical evolution.
Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
it all started 14 years ago when my third child was born, that dream of getting married and having children had been fulfilled, the story that they lived happily ever after had ended and I wanted more there needed to be something else, so I stoped looking outside and start the trip inside. i started by understanding my mind and owning my thoughts through meditation, that took me to practice Yoga (asanas) and realize that it was a great tool to keep me conscious and present, and started to feel great, not only on my physical body but mind and soul as well. I began to get to know myself better to understand my thoughts, my emotions, to breathe in consciousness and realize the power that exists in being present, i began by taking responsibility for my choices, to respond insted of react, to give my self permision to feel, to feel it all , to pause and just BE, There is a lot of magic in the practice and I wanted to know more so I started my first certification and experience all the benefits of the practice in much more depth, I felt the call to start sharing my path and reach more and more souls in search.
today after a few years of tours, of climbs and descents, a lot of challenges, lessons and a few more certifications I continue to share my journey; yoga instructor, meditation guide, Soundhealing, Breathework, Thethahealing, accompaniment in rituals and ceremonies andguide or retreats, mainly in magical and expansive places in Mexico where in a few intensive days I share with you all my tools of self-knowledge, on the way of live more in freedom, peace, joy. On the way of remember who you are, unconditional love and infinite wisdom.
When we come to the realization that the only thin real is this present moment we begin to see life in a different way. we beging to enjoy the bad, the good, and the ugly. all of it. we beging to truly enjoy the journey . we begin to be here. we lern to live, to trust that we are exactlly we we need to be.
is not an easy path, but its one worth taking. the past of least resistance. the path of surrender. the path of trust. the path that leads us to true happiness, because we ve come to see that is not where we think it was. it was within us all the time…we just wasn’t aware of it
keep being
keep living
keep experiencing.
with love and kindness,

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
Discipline with intention. trust in your super power there is absolutely no one like you, the world need YOU, authentic and real.
patience.
be friend of fear and choose the path that scares you the most, dare to get out of your comfort zone, there are endless possibilities for you aout there.
start and take that first step and the universe will give a thousand in your favor. TRUST
go back to being a beginner, learning is eternal.
As we end our chat, is there a book you can leave people with that’s been meaningful to you and your development?
