Meet Gabrielle Rene

We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Gabrielle Rene a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Gabrielle, thanks for sharing your insights with our community today. Part of your success, no doubt, is due to your work ethic and so we’d love if you could open up about where you got your work ethic from?
Honestly, my father. He is an incredibly hardworking man along with my mother. I feel like growing up with those strong role models and coming from a line of Cuban immigrants has shown me the success and wealth take commitment to grow, but even more so passion and determination.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
I am really a woman of all trades, I can’t sit still and like to do it all. My main focuses are in photography and travel though. I have been organizing, executing, and hosting women’s retreats around the world for three years now and it is truly a passion of mine!

Anything that has to do with sisterhood and comradery is something that fuels me. Essentially through my organization Sage Coterie, I plan and execute local Tampa events and travel experiences all around the world. These trips and events cater to the unique interests, preferences, and needs of independent and empowered females – or those looking for empowerment.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
People are going to say no at first… Keep asking, no can turn to yes the next time a trip or event roles around, and don’t take those no answers personally!

I have really learned organization through this journey, delegating, and overall knowing when to be in charge and when to let loose! I love curating the perfect trip but I love even more when the women attending can make lifelong friendships!

One of our goals is to help like-minded folks with similar goals connect and so before we go we want to ask if you are looking to partner or collab with others – and if so, what would make the ideal collaborator or partner?
I am always looking for other female entrepreneurs and travelers to connect with! I have had so much fun connecting with local business owners all around the world and being able to bring people into their businesses and experience their little pieces of the world.

Collaboration is a huge piece of my business and helping one another grow as women is a core principle in my workspace. My ideal collaborators are innovative, big dreamers, flexible, and giving!
