Hi Hakan, really happy you were able to join us today and we’re looking forward to sharing your story and insights with our readers. Let’s start with the heart of it all – purpose. How did you find your purpose?
As a Muay Thai boxer who has achieved three world championships and multiple other tournament victories before transitioning into a successful personal trainer, I can say that finding my purpose was a journey of self-discovery, passion, and dedication.

First and foremost, I had a deep love for the sport of Muay Thai. The intense physical training, mental strAIN, and the satisfaction of seeing myself grow as an athlete ignited a fire within me. Through years of hard work, sacrifice, and perseverance, I reached the pinnacle of success in the world of professional fighting.

However, as my competitive career started winding down, I realized that my true fulfillment came not only from my personal achievements but also from helping others. The knowledge and skills I acquired throughout my journey were valuable resources that I wanted to share with others who aspired to become better versions of themselves.

Becoming a personal trainer allowed me to combine my passion for Muay Thai with my desire to make a positive impact on people’s lives. Witnessing the transformation and growth of my clients, both physically and mentally, has been incredibly rewarding. Seeing their progress, witnessing their confidence soar, and knowing that I played a role in their success became my new purpose.

I think my family and friends have had a great impact in how I see things now and their help and support has allowed me to develop into a better person and an even better athlete. I can now say with confidence that the knowledge and experiences I have gained will certainly help others reach their maximum potential as well!

So, to answer your question, I found my purpose by following my passion, embracing my strengths and weaknesses, and recognizing the profound impact I could have on others. It’s not just about achieving personal success; it’s about using my skills and knowledge to inspire and empower individuals to reach their own goals and discover their true potential.

I am Hakan Yildiz, a retired World Champion Muay Thai boxer turned personal trainer who’s here to help you on a journey of personal growth and transformation. And guess what? I’m taking the next big step in expanding my business. I want to focus not just on physical strength but also on the relevance of personal growth and the changes that can positively impact both the mind and body. It’s about nurturing a holistic approach to health and well-being.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Reflecting on my journey, there were three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that played a significant role in my success:

1. Passion and Dedication: First and foremost, having a deep passion for what you do is crucial. It fuels your drive, keeps you motivated during challenging times, and allows you to push through obstacles. Find something you genuinely love and are willing to dedicate yourself to wholeheartedly. Nurture that passion, and let it be the driving force behind your journey.

Advice: Explore different areas of interest, try new things, and pay attention to what truly excites you. Once you’ve found your passion, commit to it fully. Embrace the challenges that come your way and never lose sight of why you started in the first place.

2. Continuous Learning and Growth: In any pursuit, knowledge is power. Stay hungry for learning, be open to new ideas, and consistently seek opportunities for growth. Whether it’s studying the techniques of your craft, understanding the science behind it, or expanding your knowledge in related areas, ongoing learning will enhance your skills and broaden your perspectives.

Advice: Stay curious and be a lifelong learner. Seek out mentors, coaches, or experts who can guide you and provide valuable insights. Read books, attend workshops or seminars, and actively engage in self-improvement practices. Embrace feedback and never stop pushing yourself to improve.
