We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Heidi Aghajani a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Hi Heidi, really happy you were able to join us today and we’re looking forward to sharing your story and insights with our readers. Let’s start with the heart of it all – purpose. How did you find your purpose?
Who would’ve guessed that my journey from being a registered nurse in a county trauma hospital 18 years ago would lead me to the world of Medical Aesthetics? They say “find your purpose,” and I did exactly that through deep self-reflection. While working at bedside in a hospital fulfilled me, it didn’t ignite my passion. It’s the ever-evolving field of Medical Aesthetics, where amazing things are achieved without anesthesia or surgery, that fuels my passion every single day.
Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
Tired of working for others who were only interested in making a quick buck, I decided to start Alchemy Med Spa. Unlike those other places, we prioritize people over profits. No more selling useless memberships or upselling ineffective products. We believe in transparency and providing top-notch service to every single person who walks through our doors. With two locations in Texas (Houston and Dallas), I hope our success shows others in the industry that you don’t have to nickel and dime clients to thrive.
There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
Three crucial skills or qualities have greatly influenced my journey:
First and foremost, I have experienced being a client myself. I have gone through the frustration of investing a significant amount of money in a service that yielded no results. I have also been taken advantage of in terms of price and quality, and I understand the disappointment of being misled. These experiences have provided me with invaluable insights and empathy towards my own clients.
Another key quality I possess is being a risk taker. In the world of business, taking calculated risks is essential. As the saying goes, “scared money doesn’t make money.” Cutting corners and opting for cheap solutions will only lead to subpar outcomes. Quality matters, and I am determined to deliver only the best.
Lastly, my unwavering commitment to learning has been instrumental in my journey. I consider myself a perpetual student, constantly striving to stay updated in our ever-evolving industry. This dedication allows me to offer the most advanced, secure, and up-to-date services and procedures to my clients.
Who is your ideal client or what sort of characteristics would make someone an ideal client for you?
No client is perfect, and it’s impossible to define what an ideal client would look like or want. I have no control over who books appointments online or walks into my office, and I wouldn’t want to. I cater to a wide range of requests, from clients who want dramatically enhanced lips to those who prefer a subtle plump. Some clients only want a small amount of Botox, while others request a higher dosage and return for touch-ups. This adaptability is what sets me apart as a Nurse Injector. Ultimately, my ideal client is someone who trusts the process and knows that I prioritize their needs and aesthetic goals above all else.
