Ja , thank you so much for joining us today. Let’s jump right into something we’re really interested in hearing about from you – being the only one in the room. So many of us find ourselves as the only woman in the room, the only immigrant or the only artist in the room, etc. Can you talk to us about how you have learned to be effective and successful in situations where you are the only one in the room like you?
I truly believe that comes when you put your heart into what you do. My music and brand is a representation of me and people are attracted to it because they can see and feel my authenticity and can relate to it. I’m not tryna separate myself instead just share my story

I all ja harlin a rapper from Minneapolis Minnesota, I have been making music professionally for 5 years starting in my basement holding my phone to a mic to record YouTube beats to put on SoundCloud. It all started as a hobby to keep me distracted but grew into a passion where I committed myself to music. I chose ja harlin as a stage name because I want my music to be a representation of me and to my real life.
Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
Research, patience and confidence To start you need to read alot and find a lot of info for yourself if you want to make the right choices and to do it right. Patience because nothing is overnight and you need to keep focused and ready to make it happen and confidence mostly because people you expected to be all in with you and fully ready to support be the most shaky people and ready to leave you lost in it. But if you confident you can make it happen no matter what you on the right path.
