Meet Jada Bowman

We recently connected with Jada Bowman and have shared our conversation below.

Jada , so great to have you with us and we want to jump right into a really important question. In recent years, it’s become so clear that we’re living through a time where so many folks are lacking self-confidence and self-esteem. So, we’d love to hear about your journey and how you developed your self-confidence and self-esteem.
Well, this definitely didn’t come easy and I am still forever learning and trying to master self confidence and self esteem but I am better than I was.

When I had really low confidence and self esteem, I honestly had to get around others who had high self esteem, confidence and self love.

Being around those people, created a platform for me to be my true authentic self in a way I have never did before. Having like minded people, who wanted to be more confident, believe in themselves and their capabilities, and live up to their highest self was the environment I needed to be in to boost that esteem, confidence and self love.

In that environment, I learned so many things that could help me conquer low self esteem, lack of confidence and self love. It was really about the mindset. Our minds play a big role in determining the life we choose to live. Whatever we feed our minds, determines how far we can go to achieving anything because if you feed your mind positivity, then you can overcome and conquer anything that comes your way, good or bad. The mind is a powerful thing, so we have to feed it more positivity.

Applying the different mindsets to your daily life, and shifting to a different mindset to vibrate to your higher self will attract more positivity and opportunities into your life that can change you for the better. We have to do the mind work in order to attract better and that’s what helped me to attract more of God’s abundance he has for me. Changing my mindset, helped me to build more confidence in my capabilities and it allowed me to connect with myself on a deeper level to give grace in areas where I would beat myself up or tear myself apart. It gave me a new perspective, and took me to another level to understand self love and love myself way more.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?

My name is Jada.. I am 24 years old. I was born and raised in Sunny Orlando Florida all my life (24 years). I like to journal, read, and dance. Those 3 things help me to release negative energy, draining thoughts and self sabotage. I am an encourager, motivator and a woman of God who uplifts those around me.

I am a Christian and a true believer in God, who puts God first in everything that I do. He is my creator and he has created me to live out my true purpose. Without God, I am nothing.

I am a fashion published model, who uses modeling as one of the platforms to express myself and my creativity. I want to be able to empower women to embrace their bloom. Embrace who they are becoming, and to be gentle with themselves through the process of transforming into the woman God has called them to be.

Since I started to believe and take a chance on myself I’ve been presented many different opportunities to be published in magazines, have published articles to share my story with the world, be a model for big name brands, start to help young models start from the beginning, to rise to their highest potential. ✨✨✨✨

This also allowed me to take on a new position where I am now a model talent scout for WG Models Premier Talent Agency to help recruit models, and help guide them to get where they want to be in this industry and be successful in all they do.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
In this journey, I learned that having a great attitude, professionalism and a positive mindset will get you far because you are your brand and you want to be represented well, carry a great reputation and remain easy to work with.

Without having a great attitude, mindset and professionalism you won’t be able to achieve many things or make it far because in this industry you have to adapt to change. There are things where talent won’t take you, but your character will outweigh the talent.

If you don’t carry these qualities, or have these skills do some research, look up examples on YouTube on how to obtain these skills and put them to practice. You can also get a coach/ mentor who knows the ins and out of this industry and learn from them by taking training classes etc….

Okay, so before we go, is there anyone you’d like to shoutout for the role they’ve played in helping you develop the essential skills or overcome challenges along the way?
I can’t just say one person. I have two people who played a vital role in my modeling journey.

The first person is my cousin Zelda Polk. Zelda is my mentor and has trained and equipped me with the knowledge and skill set I need in order to be successful in my career. Through the ups and downs, she celebrated me and also corrected me in the process to help me grow and be better to not make the same mistakes. She was/is my guide to reaching my full potential.

The other person is Adina Kajoy. Adina is my model coach who helped me get in the right headspace to show up as my higher self. As a person who suffers from low self esteem, lack of self love and confidence it was vital that I needed someone to push me and help me get out of that low place. Someone who believed in me before I did, someone who loved me more than I did, someone who pushed me for greatness, and someone who knew the greatness inside of me and wouldn’t give up on me was everything I needed to gain the confidence to be the powerful woman God called me to be.

All of that knowledge helped me to gain the qualities and skillset needed to be a successful model and share my journey and experiences with others to help them as well.
