Meet JahVelle Rhone

We caught up with the brilliant and insightful JahVelle Rhone a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Hi JahVelle, appreciate you sitting with us today to share your wisdom with our readers. So, let’s start with resilience – where do you get your resilience from?
In 2021, my 5-year-old daughter received a stage 3 cancer diagnosis. She bravely endured 25 rounds of chemotherapy and 3 rounds of radiation, facing each day with unwavering courage. Remarkably, not once did she voice a complaint. On the contrary, she embraced profound optimism, expressing gratitude to those around her and radiating a greater sense of love.

Throughout her challenging journey, I observed her transformation into a more independent and positively outspoken individual. Despite the hardships, she found solace in the saxophone music I played for her. It became a constant source of normalcy in a time marked by extensive treatments and rapid changes.

Motivated by her joy in music, I committed myself to creating three music videos daily for her to enjoy. In each video, I wore a smile, aiming to uplift her spirits. I poured my heart into every performance, dedicated to bringing joy to my resilient daughter during her difficult battle.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
I believe the three most important qualities are the ability to believe in yourself, the ability to listen and to learn from others, and the ability to be resilient while remaining humble but not passive. if you’re just starting out and you want to learn how to develop these skills. number one, listen more than you talk. Number two, Find examples and learn their example. and Finally, number three, learn that You never have to compete when you are being authentically you because you are one of one. Accept that you never arrive because you will always want to go further in your dreams, but the journey is the most beautiful part of the rise to successfully attaining your goals.

One of our goals is to help like-minded folks with similar goals connect and so before we go we want to ask if you are looking to partner or collab with others – and if so, what would make the ideal collaborator or partner?
Absolutely! I am always open to collaboration and partnerships with fellow creatives. As a content creator and saxophonist, I’m particularly interested in working with musicians, visual artists, video editors, or anyone passionate about combining their talents with the expressive power of music. However, I’m also dabbling with short skits, and films, so actors, writers, and videographers get in line, we’re going to work!

If you share an enthusiasm for creating compelling and unique content, whether it’s through collaborative music projects, artistic visuals, or innovative ideas, I’d love to hear from you. Connecting with me is easy – feel free to reach out via email at [email protected] or through my social media channels @jrsaxophonic.
