Jamario , so excited to have you with us today. So much we can chat about, but one of the questions we are most interested in is how you have managed to keep your creativity alive.
Well, within this particular topic my creativity is a all-around experience. Meaning, that I’ll make nothing out of something when trying it out and figuring out the arch of it.
Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
So…I’m a DJ that’s been spinning records for about 14yrs now. I’m more of a blender/remixer when it comes to being on the turntables. I currently be on TikTok creating mashup songs. I guess with me making these mashup songs I feel that if anyone would listen to them…it’s a possibility that they can either remake or make their own dance routine to them. I’m just a humble, soulful guy that likes to DJ and create a new ambiance vibe within the atmosphere.
Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
1. Always collect all types of music 2. In order for you to showcase your talent, you have to be outside and network with other individuals.
3. There’s going to be positive & negative feedback on your journey. Always prepare for anything.
Any advice for folks feeling overwhelmed?
Definitely self-care and self-compassion. It’s the most important topic to make sure your mind, body & soul are at peace because if it’s not…then, everything will literally be to much for you to handle. There will be times that your going to need to turn off social media so, you can get back into reality-check with yourself.
