Meet JaMéz Burton

We were lucky to catch up with JaMez Burton recently and have shared our conversation below.

JaMéz, thank you so much for joining us. You are such a positive person and it’s something we really admire and so we wanted to start by asking you where you think your optimism comes from?
My Faith and Family; Remembering each day is one that we make the most of!!! No one wants to live a life where the negative outweighs our positive! I thank God and my family for that mindset!

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?

My name is JaMéz Aloha Burton (9) and I am the founder and executive director of Captivating EyeZ.

In life what we see can be so captivating but it’s more than just the beauty… it’s our uniqueness with our movement / your mode in which you connect /and what you model in your day to day lifestyle from what you want to see of self and more!

I am a self motivational speaker, model coach and coordinator, project assistant, and teacher along with many other hats, who comes with natural expression and grace in everything I do.

Everyday is an opportunity to walk as our greatest selves in an essence that what we stand for comes with truth.
From the love of sharing, speaking and supporting. I love to see us cheering on our children, pushing positivity in what we do and what we can be better at. It’s our own passport to living.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?

Faith

Focus

Fundamentals

When it comes to our journey:

With my Faith I have to allow the movement and trust whole heartedly; it starts with yourself to trust in the process / focus and refocus as many times necessary to know everything in its time is when it is meant to be.

In order to develop and improve remember to stay a student to your own craft and work hard on what it is and continuing to learn as your grow. A true fundamental and also a real entrepreneurial thought. That’s how you keep going!

Looking back over the past 12 months or so, what do you think has been your biggest area of improvement or growth?

Communication – being open and honest about what is without allowing the fear to speak truth of myself or anything associated with what I do keep me moving out of my feelings. This has been a major part to my  growth!

As a model / coach / coordinator – many years before that I would have been a yes woman!!! Always wanting to make sure a yes was what could be for someone without hurting them yet in the end I was hurting myself. I had to let my No be a Glow Up. It’s okay to say no and let go in order to Grow!
