We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Jamo Kapone a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Jamo , thanks for sharing your insights with our community today. Part of your success, no doubt, is due to your work ethic and so we’d love if you could open up about where you got your work ethic from?
I been working hard all my Life since I was a child… I grew up in the hood…. Had to work hard to get out… we clean… everyday… and also learn the value of a dollar… raking leaves… cutting grass… or getting paid working for my uncle painting services…. I didn’t have my pops in my life… so my uncle pick up that role in my life… taught me everything I know with my hands he got up at the crack of dawn frfr no cap …. He was a very hard and dedicated to his job and clients and ppl in need period he will go the extra mile so I get a lot work ethic from my uncle’s and fam… and the late great young dolph

Google Me… I’m Jamo Kapone from Memphis, Tn. Born and raised!! I’m on the rise!!! I’m talented… and have a gift I want to share with the world! A story of a street Nicca turn Business/ Artist to elevate me out the city of Memphis, where they love to hate… my focus is to talk to the young people and folks my age on there level and mind frame…. To teach that it is still kool to be a dad and stand up man and have morals and standards in a dope and kool way with my lyrics I faith that I will catch they attention and draw them in like a moth to a flame…. My brand is Suckafree Empire… to me it stand for a person that’s stands on business and can be judge or push over… No time for Sucka shit or bs… excuse my French… I want the whole world to be Suckafree…. I create evocative lyrics that paint pictures of my life… yours…. And everything around us…. I like it bring it to them like a movie feature I wanna leave you thinking or breaking down what I’m really speaking on the mic….im so excited about this label and journey…. I’m different and heartfelt with a side of street!! Expect big things in these couple of years… mark my words… new mixtape dropping soon… videos… radio interviews and live performances as well!!! There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
Practice…. Read… stay consistent!! And most definitely stay focused on the mission at hand! If you wanna see results stay motivated on the task you have to accomplish til it’s completed
