Jarris, looking forward to learning from your journey. You’ve got an amazing story and before we dive into that, let’s start with an important building block. Where do you get your work ethic from?
When I became a single father, I overcame financial obstacles by developing diverse skills that enabled me to generate legal income and maintain stability for my daughter despite the absence of conventional employment options and child care.
Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
I have always enjoyed experimenting with new crafts and expressing my creativity. When I started making custom rugs, I thought it would just be another hobby to add to my list of skills but the demand for them quickly exceeded my expectations. I am now receiving direct messages from celebrities and social media influencers for custom rugs. I feel very blessed with my current workload and busy schedule. I am considering offering classes to teach people my strategies for creating custom rugs and content creation, which is another skill I excel in and enjoy.
Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
Overcoming generational curses through discipline and creativity has enabled me to stay focused on building a successful business that will benefit my kids in the long run. To achieve similar success, one should stick to their goals, believe in their vision, and continuously find innovative ways to draw in clients and customers.
