Meet Jasmine Sjöberg Sidibe

We were lucky to catch up with Jasmine Sjöberg Sidibe recently and have shared our conversation below.

Jasmine, we’re thrilled to have you sharing your thoughts and lessons with our community. So, for folks who are at a stage in their life or career where they are trying to be more resilient, can you share where you get your resilience from?
I believe I was born with a strong spirit. Since I was a little kid I remember I keept on going even when it was getting hard. Sometimes I get tired, then I rest. I believe that my belief that everything happens for a reason is where I get my resilence from. I am also good on listening to what my soul, mind and body needs.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?
I am a creative soul on a life journey. I have focused on different things during different times in my career. Most people might know me as a model. But I am also a creator and air hostess. I have also been in the film industry and I also enjoy to sing. I have studied business and I see myself a business woman with a lot missons. Right now I focus on my personal brand – I want to inspire people to go after their dreams in life while taking care of themself.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
I would say to have courage, belief and to execute. Looking back on my life journey those qualities are very important for any success. You don’t really have to be the best on what you do – you just have to start and you learn during the process. You have to be brave to fail many times to get a chance to succeed – it is part of the process. You have to keep on believing every day. Believe in yourself and your dreams. Then you have to take action and make a plan – because a dream without action is only a dream. I also learned from my journey how important it is to be true to yourself in you choices. The most important thing in life is to feel happy doing what you love – so my advice would be to take care of yourself and be your true self and following your true values in whatever you do <3

What do you do when you feel overwhelmed? Any advice or strategies?
If I feel overwhelmed it is probably a sign that I have to make some changes. Normally I take a moment to look over what is going on in my life right now to find out what is making me feel that way. I take a moment for meditation to help me get more clarity over how I can feel better. Maybe I have too much work, projects and plans in the same time. Then I might need to reschedule and give myself less to do. It is important to listen to your feelings cause they are there to guide you <3
