Meet Jay D$nero

We recently connected with Jay D$nero and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Jay, really happy you were able to join us today and we’re looking forward to sharing your story and insights with our readers. Let’s start with the heart of it all – purpose. How did you find your purpose?
I found my purpose while attending college. It was always my dream to play football, especially college football. I had tore my ACL my sophomore year of high school and I ended up falling in olive aight he rehabilitation process. I loved how someone was helping someone else to get back to doing what they love doing. I went to college to study Physical/Occupational Therapy and unfortunately didn’t end up playing football. Instead I found my love for music. Music was always apart of my life but totally eclipsed sports and other things after my first studio session. I loved being able to put my heart and soul on a track and people listen and could also relate. I realized music is a form of therapy and that you can create something that can totally change someone’s life. That is how I found my purpose.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
I am Jay D$nero and I am an artist and super producer. I create timeless music that can be listened to by anyone no matter age, skin color, ethnicity or background. I strive to make music that people can feel and not just putting words over an instrumental. The most exciting part about making music is going to perform it. I think every artist wants to know that people enjoy the art they put out but it’s no better feeling than going and performing and the crowd either singing along or just nodding their head because they can feel it too. I am apart of a music group named Blitz The Label that was created back in 2018 and we are a collective of artists, engineers, producers, and business men that live by our name “blitz” meaning to give it your all without any regret, remorse, or doubt. In football when the defense sends a blitz they go all out to get the quarterback and we are all for giving your all when it comes to chasing your dreams. We also live by our slogan “14EP We don’t get no sleep, you don’t work you don’t eat” meaning if you want to see results you have to put the work in. Faith without works is dead. We just recently did a “Jumped off the Porch” interview with Dirty Glove Bastard and the interview is available to watch on YouTube. We are working on gettin merchandise together so our supporters can be apart of the Blitz/14EP movement.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
The first one would be having faith in God and trusting his plan for your life. You can self destruct with all the things you see in this world and being rooted in God has helped me to worry a lot less about the things I can not control. The second quality is making sure I’m being a hundred percent me. Many people think they have to change their image or style or way of life to accomplish things but that’s not true. Someone out there is going to be Abel to relate to the same thing or b intrigued with what you have going on. When people aren’t true to themselves things can go downhill. The last quality is persevering and never giving up. There have been numerous times where quitting has crossed my mind because I was frustrated, discouraged, lost, confused, hurt. Everything is a test and on your journey following your dream you’re going to feel these things. Just remember that it’s a marathon and not a race and it’s only won to those who finish. My advice would be to enjoy every single moment through your journey because you’ll miss out on all the good times being stuck in however long it’s taking to get where you’re trying to go. Also to be surrounded by a team of people that encompasses love, loyalty, and hard work/determination.

Alright so to wrap up, who deserves credit for helping you overcome challenges or build some of the essential skills you’ve needed?
I give all glory to God. Without him I am nothing. He has blessed me with everything I need and more and created me with the talent to produce and put together music. Through every obstacle he has always been there and uses people such as my family members, my team, and some times even strangers to encourage me, instill knowledge and certain qualities in me, and overall to lead and guide me. My family, team and supporters are all helpful but I know none of it would be possible without God.
