Meet Jazmin Gatica

We were lucky to catch up with Jazmin Gatica recently and have shared our conversation below.

Jazmin, looking forward to learning from your journey. You’ve got an amazing story and before we dive into that, let’s start with an important building block. Where do you get your work ethic from?
I would like to start off by giving credit to my family. They have been my biggest inspiration and what keeps me going through my toughest days. On days I want to give up I think of these people for guidance. My mom and my dad have paved the way for me and showed me their consistency and hard work. Another significant person that I look up to, has been my uncle who has started his own company a few years ago and has been a very successful entreprenuer. Together all these important people have built up my work ethic to create the independent hard working women that I am today.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?
My name is Jazmin Gatica. I am 24 years old, born and raised in Houston, Texas. One of my recent accomplishments was finishing esthetic school. I’ve been self employed for almost two years and wanted to take the next step forward towards my knowledge in estethics. I am focused on expanding my business and services for my clients to provide everything I have to offer. I love making my clients feel beautiful and seeing their reaction after being serviced makes me feel accomplished. I will also be re naming my small business to Rose Beaty Bar! I am so excited to see what else is in store for my clients and myself.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Discipline, patientce, and persistency. Those were three qualities that helped me get where I am today. I always let upcoming lash artists not to give up, it took me a year or two to get to where I am. I learned how to discipline myself by prioritizing and setting goals, once I had that down, the vision became clearer. I had to stay persistent on promoting myself, overcoming the barrier of shyness that I had. Another thing that I forgot to mention was consistency, after overcoming all the obstacles, consistency is the key to everything.

What do you do when you feel overwhelmed? Any advice or strategies?
I do tend to feel overwhelmed during high demand seasons, one of the ways that helps me cope with that is having a positive mindset. Whenever I have an extremely busy day, I tell myself that I will have a good day and it goes as planned. I also always try to have a thing to look forward at the end of my day which helps the ease of feeling overwhemed.
