Meet Jennifer Dawn Gabiola

We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Jennifer Dawn Gabiola a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Jennifer Dawn, so good to have you with us today. We’ve got so much planned, so let’s jump right into it. We live in such a diverse world, and in many ways the world is getting better and more understanding but it’s far from perfect. There are so many times where folks find themselves in rooms or situations where they are the only ones that look like them – that might mean being the only woman of color in the room or the only person who grew up in a certain environment etc. Can you talk to us about how you’ve managed to thrive even in situations where you were the only one in the room?
How I have learned to be successful even when I am the only one in the room that looks like me is by knowing that I am rare which is my greatest power and gift. I AM 1 of 1 because I have been divinely chosen by God to BE me here on this earth at this transformational time to help the collective consciousness evolve. When I show up fully and authentically as me, that is a sacred act of service to give what I am divinely equipped to give. When I am deeply connected with my Spirit, adorn myself in what gives me life and fully share my presence and energy, I help activate others to freely BE their true selves. It is through my authenticity that I can create real and lasting change on other people’s lives. In bravely embodying my own truth, I can help others to fully express their own. We are meant to help each other evolve in this lifetime, so the more I allow my Spirit to continually expand, I am able to serve others to also rise into their highest next level.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?
I AM Jennifer Dawn Gabiola and I am a Soulful Branding & Business Mentor for Introverts and Sensitive Souls to authentically shine in life and business. Through my business, Dawning Soul, I take a holistic approach to branding. I love supporting my clients through heart-centered marketing strategy, exquisite design and soulful personal presence & style.

I didn’t have a master plan for my entrepreneurial journey. My path was totally organic and divinely guided. I had a successful 12-year career as a Design Director and helped build a multi-million dollar company from the ground up. But God ultimately had a different plan for me. I had a major crossroads moment when I lost my career and was also diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis. I lost everything that I thought was me – my self-image, my career and my health. I then received an unexpected divine download to share my personal poetry on t-shirts. Because I had already lost everything, I went for it. I sold my Dawning Soul poetic tees in local boutiques around Houston and online in my Etsy shop. Then, I got the incredible opportunity to share my collection at Houston Fashion Week. I was so grateful for all this success, but deep down, I wanted to serve women on an even deeper soulful level. Everything came full-circle to what I am doing now helping my fellow introverts and sensitive souls to own their quiet voice and fierce power to build brands that make a big impact.

What is most exciting about what I do is helping these soulful leaders authentically express the true essence of who they are from the inside out. I believe everyone has a Dawning Soul, a Spirit that is ever-changing, ever-evolving. My creative process is about attuning to your Spirit and giving yourself permission to fully express your rare energy through your personal brand presence and sacred style. God gave me an acronym for S.T.Y.L.E. which stands for “Spiritually Translating Your Life’s Essence™.” (I get goosebumps every time I share that.) In my heart, I know that I don’t just have a business, but a calling. I am here to help more sensitive souls to become the powerful leaders they are born to BE. We are living in such an evolutionary time in our collective consciousness. And with ever-changing technology and the rise of AI, it will be even more important to own your true nature and authenticity in order to navigate what’s real in the future. What’s real is you at the core and that’s what will make a lasting impact.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
Looking back, there were three qualities that were most impactful on my journey. The first is trust. To deeply trust in who you uniquely are, in who God created you to BE. You are 1 of 1. You are a once-in-a-lifetime divine expression with a rare energy that can only come through you, as you. This is a gift that the world needs. Trusting in this truth and who God created me to BE gave me the unwavering confidence to follow the path that was already divinely written for me.

The second quality is risk-taking – aligned from the heart and not from the mind. We are meant to continually evolve, so it’s important to trust in your intuition and the divine guidance that you instinctively receive. Honor your discernment and your natural pace to take risks that feel expansive in your body. It’s ok to feel afraid, but trust that you are not alone. All of Life is supporting you to reach your next level of growth. I learned that taking risks that feel deeply aligned in your heart is necessary to continually evolve. As I consistently took divinely inspired risks, I exponentially grew both personally and in my business.

The last quality is connection. To connect with others with kindness, empathy and authenticity. We are here on this earth to support one another. When you show people who you truly are and graciously extend kindness and empathy to them, you create the opportunity to genuinely connect on a deep level. People will feel your energy and pure intention to build lasting and real relationships. As an introvert and sensitive soul, I organically built genuine connections through intimacy. I led with my energy. People could feel my pure intentions and so I naturally connected with people who resonated with my heart.

For folks who are early in their journey, I wanted to share some helpful advice to best develop these qualities that have served me so much. Know that who you authentically are is your true power. When you are in your lane, there is no competition. Feel into that highest version of yourself to see yourself as the rare and divine gift that you were born to BE. Also, you are worthy of taking divinely inspired risks. You will always find your answers within yourself. Don’t get distracted by comparing yourself to the outside world. In your stillness, you will hear that small, quiet voice that will always guide you to your next right move. And lastly, to create real and lasting connections with others, you must deeply connect with yourself first. Know that you already belong. To yourself first. And then with others. You deserve to be true to yourself and genuinely give yourself the same kindness and empathy you freely give to others.

How would you describe your ideal client?
My ideal client is an introvert and sensitive soul who is brave, self-led and seeking support to authentically grow into their next level of leadership in their life and business. They are seeking mentorship to support their aligned goals while also taking full responsibility to consciously create the highest vision for their life. They may naturally be on the reserved side, but they also have a quiet power, a fierceness that is ready to be unleashed. They are heart-centered, soulful and deeply insightful. They believe they are a part of something greater than themselves to serve as who God created them to BE. They desire to embody their highest self and be fully self-expressed in their life and business. In order to authentically stand out and make the greatest impact in their brand and business, they are seeking high-level support to fully express their true essence in their personal brand presence, sacred style and heart-centered marketing.
