We recently connected with Jennifer Lyn and have shared our conversation below.
Jennifer, thank you so much for taking the time to share your lessons learned with us and we’re sure your wisdom will help many. So, one question that comes up often and that we’re hoping you can shed some light on is keeping creativity alive over long stretches – how do you keep your creativity alive?
I constantly challenge myself. If I feel like I might not be able to do something, I will at least try. I don’t want to be wondering if an outcome would have been different because I didn’t give myself a chance.
Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?
I’m in my third year of my podcast. I absolutely love theatre and talking to everyone from all facets of the industry. Presenting laid back conversations is my goal and who knows, you might actually learn something about your favorite performer or have an interest in someone who may have not been on your radar before.
There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
Theatre is what I do and what I love so it was the perfect subject for my podcast. Knowledge of people’s careers is also helpful and I talk a lot. My advice for people who want to do a podcast or anything really, just go for it. Find out what you’re good at and work on the skills you need to get you to that next level.
How can folks who want to work with you connect?
I would love to collaborate with people who are in the theatre industry. There are a ton of things to talk about so let’s do it. You can contact me via the website for the podcast — https://www.atthisperformancepodcast.com/
