We recently connected with Jennyb Williams and have shared our conversation below.
Alright, so we’re so thrilled to have Jennyb with us today – welcome and maybe we can jump right into it with a question about one of your qualities that we most admire. How did you develop your work ethic? Where do you think you get it from?
My work ethics came from my background of cosmetology, I”ve been a Stylist for 29 yrs ! So greeting and catering to my clients over the years definitely paid off. Switching over to the dog business was a true joy because I truly love helping people bring joy to their pets lives.
Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?
I’m Jenny B , i”m a Black Female Entrepreneur ,I’ve been in business for myself my whole adult life. I started out doing hair at the age of 19 and still at it 29 yrs later known as the Pixie cut Queen of Buckhead! I started a Dog business called So Luxe Pup 4 yrs ago, its absolutely amazing and thriving in the Buckhead area. We carry clothing ,accessories, organic spa products and FDA approved all natural supplements, including cbd oil. We are working on expanding the business into grooming soon . Im also looking forward to added “Author” to my list of accolades!
There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
First ,you have to believe in yourself , know that no vision is just a dream that it’s your reality and it will come true,just don’t give up! Second, write it down so you can see your thoughts on paper
Third , research and find out what you need to make your business come to life
Fourth, have patients and pray ! You’re going to find yourself talking to God alot !!
Fifth , don’t worry if your family don’t understand or believe in you ,know that you will have supporters and people you may not know rooting for you and want you to win!
What was the most impactful thing your parents did for you?
They stayed together till death! They showed me how to stick with a choice you choose to make through good times and bad times , to believe in something you love ,to put God first and to have faith. These are the things I took into my business which is why i have “staying power” I see it through no matter what!
