Meet Jessica Robinson

We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Jessica Robinson a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Jessica, so good to have you with us today. We’ve always been impressed with folks who have a very clear sense of purpose and so maybe we can jump right in and talk about how you found your purpose?
The way I found my purpose was by becoming a mom. I found that I really loved saying,”yes” to my kids when I wanted to. Not necessarily when they wanted me to but when fun things came to town, trip opportunities came up and they wanted to start playing sports and things like that. My purpose was defined rather quickly. I realized in order to say “yes”, I had to have a clear and defined purpose. At that point my focus and drive increased.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?
Anti-social media focuses on social media management for small businesses. We aim to be affordable for a small business that is normally priced out of some social media management. Most social media management comes at cost that small businesses can’t afford. Our typical client is someone who is going to walk through your front door and do work for you in your home. Whether, it’s a Plumber, HVAC technician, or any other home service company we want to help. We find we can see marked growth by helping. Those type of companies.

We love being able to provide referrals for the companies we represent, as we know we can make a marked difference in their volume. We get to know our clients and their integrity and honesty, and help brand them in a way that others learn those things about them. And want to do business with them.

We are always looking for new home service companies in areas all around Texas and the United States. We’re looking specifically for companies who are known for honesty, integrity, and helping out in the community.

We also have focused a lot on 501 C3 nonprofits and small boutiques. We love to help them spread the message of the good that they’re doing in the community. If you know anyone looking for social media management, and either of these two areas, please tell them about Anti-social media.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
I think mine and my teams best qualities are being focused, organized, and we do everything on a pre decided schedule.

I highly recommend anyone wanting to develop or improve their social media to create their content ahead of time, use a Contant calendar to map out the process and to stop putting it on their to do list every day. A lot of people put social media on their to do list and day after day. It’s not complete and it’s moved again to the next day Stop being frustrated when it doesn’t get done.

When you see that you’re unable to do this because you’re too busy working IN your business, I highly recommend hiring someone like anti-social Media and delegate your social media. Delegating your social media should be a game changer to your marketing plan.

All the wisdom you’ve shared today is sincerely appreciated. Before we go, can you tell us about the main challenge you are currently facing?
We’re facing an obstacle that we didn’t see coming. I am primarily the person involved in the sales process. My house was recently struck by lightning for the second time, and I have been unable to attend Networking meetings regularly.

We have been able to service all of our clients, keep them happy, and grow by word-of-mouth, but getting in front of people is the number one way we can grow bigger. We are looking to expand our sales team so that we can continue to grow, but our challenge right now is having me less involved out in the field. And still powering through and growing at a normal rate. We would like to increase by 2 clients a month over the next year.
