Meet Joey Reed

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Joey Reed. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Alright, so we’re so thrilled to have Joey with us today – welcome and maybe we can jump right into it with a question about one of your qualities that we most admire. How did you develop your work ethic? Where do you think you get it from?
My dad’s experience as an entrepreneur and owning skateboarding businesses has been a great inspiration for me to pursue my own path.

In any industry, learning from those around you is crucial, and it’s fantastic that Arman Izadi, who has managed Internet personalities like Logan Paul and Jake Paul, has played a significant role in shaping my knowledge and skills.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
Joey Reed is a 24 year old Tik Tok professional from Omaha, Nebraska who has one of the top dance trends on the app in 2020.

The dance trend has accumulated over 1 billion views in it’s first month. He also earns millions of views and tens of thousands of likes on his Instagram account. Joey started his career traveling across the United States based on the top comments of his fans.
Some of these places include The White House, atop billboards, Area 51, and many more.

Joey has collaborated with music stars like Jason Derulo and Swae Lee, Athletes such as JuJu Smith-Schuster and Bubba Watson, multiple NFL and NBA teams, as was invited to do the dance trend at the World Series and The World Cup

Joey is currently working on new projects for short film series and new content with his partner Tosha and twin brother Gabriel Reed.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
Keep being consistent and following your gut. I think most people like me wouldn’t drop out of high school and choose to move out of their own state at 17. I guess I was pretty hard on myself and wanted to start something new. I don’t regret it, whatsoever.

Looking back over the past 12 months or so, what do you think has been your biggest area of improvement or growth?
It’s now been 1 year learning Mandarin Chinese. It’s so random, but growing up with my brother we also studied different languages, and one day I met someone who spoke Chinese and I said, “yeah, watch me learn this.” And that person actually had the patience to teach me.

Now I’m partnered with an agency that helps creators and celebrities create their own brands in the Chinese market and vise versa and think it’s something that will continue to grow.
