We recently connected with John Pullings and have shared our conversation below.

Alright, so we’re so thrilled to have John with us today – welcome and maybe we can jump right into it with a question about one of your qualities that we most admire. How did you develop your work ethic? Where do you think you get it from?
I’ve always been self driven. I see life as a place of growth whether it’s spiritual, mental, or physical. I humbly believe that I am destined for greatness. I have faced and overcame so many challenges. Putting efforts into my visions and being able to witness its completion. That is a feeling that holds its own reward. The success and prosperity that comes with it is nothing but  a blessing that I cherish dearly.

My name is John Anthony Pullings. John-Anthony is my alias. I am a model, photographer, and creative director, located in the United States. I have 3+ years of experience and take tremendous pride in my profession. I am a versatile artist and I have modeled and photographed for designers, brands, and magazines. As a believer in growth through experience and consistency. I have dreams that drive me on my path and I am always open to new ideas, inquiries and collaborations.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Three major key skills that will carry artists through challenges on their journey to success are. Patience, consistency, and networking.

Patience is a necessity as an artist. Reaching certain goals and building a portfolio takes time. It’s important to let things flow. You can achieve this by trusting your work, and venturing into more ideas.

Consistency keeps an artist alive. Continue to create and improve your artistry. Find yourself through your work. Learn to create for your own fulfillment.
Building a community for yourself as an artist is very important. Networking is always a great way to create friendships and connections. Artist are just people after all.

Throughout my journey I’ve grown to enjoy working with other artists. Community as an artist is very important and I am currently looking to build a team. Agencies, agents, curators, designers, photographers, models, creative directors, marketing specialists, social media managers, MUA’s, hair stylists, and videographers.
