We were lucky to catch up with Joselyn Gamez recently and have shared our conversation below.
Joselyn , we’re thrilled to have you sharing your thoughts and lessons with our community. So, for folks who are at a stage in their life or career where they are trying to be more resilient, can you share where you get your resilience from?
Resilience is waking up every day to give it your all. Running a business is a super hero power strength you never knew you had within you, it was developed along the way. When things get hard you get smarter. Repetition helps you gain experience. Striving for longevity is the goal. Building something extraordinary is the greatest reward.
Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?
We are a food truck in Tucson, Arizona specializing in large events. We offer quesabirria tacos, tortas, sonoran dogs, caramelos, burritos, and much more! Crunchy cheesy tacos. Yes please! We really enjoy catering food for our community.
Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
Skills that have aided us in our food truck journey is being consistent. Being reliable, commiting your self to an event is a big deal. Being organized will help things run smoothly.
Alright so to wrap up, who deserves credit for helping you overcome challenges or build some of the essential skills you’ve needed?
My husband Nick is our rock. He guides the team. It’s not easy hauling generators, carrying heavy vegetables, cooking, being on propane duty, etc. He takes on many tasks daily making it all possible.
