Meet Joshua Oredipe

We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Joshua Oredipe a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Joshua, appreciate you sitting with us today to share your wisdom with our readers. So, let’s start with resilience – where do you get your resilience from?
I draw my resilience from a dual source: a forward-thinking mindset and a dedicated pursuit of my long-term vision. Over the five years of building my business “Elite ID Fitness” my resilience has evolved through a commitment to staying goal-oriented. Each adversity encountered has been a stepping stone to progress. I cultivate a resilient perspective through daily self-reflection. Acknowledging and understanding my emotions on both a visceral and intellectual level. Challenges are not setbacks but catalysts for growth. Perceived failures are opportunities to learn and improve. Employing healthy coping mechanisms, I consistently recenter my efforts ensuring an adaptive approach to business and personal development.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
Joshua Oredipe is founder of Elite ID Fitness LLC, Elite ID Fitness Studio, and certified personal trainer. He is originally from the Philadelphia area and has 11 years of experience in the fitness and wellness industry. There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
Three major qualities I pride myself on looking back on my journey so far is self-awareness, empathy, and resourcefulness. I would suggest to anyone just starting out to read and create new hobbies of interest. Reading books on business, personal development, and human nature has drastically fast tracked understanding of my reality. Either by learning through others journey or cultivating the proper language to honestly comprehend your day to day experiences. Starting new hobbies has been something I challenge myself with. Wether that be mediation or archery a new hobby allows one to be a beginner again. Most of us are well versed in our career or business of choice and personally I’ve realized the gift of seeing a skill with “new eyes”. To be a beginner cultivates humility, connection, growth, and a fresh perspective.

Who is your ideal client or what sort of characteristics would make someone an ideal client for you?
An ideal client for me is someone who not only recognizes the need for change but also demonstrates a genuine commitment to making positive transformations in their life. They understand that change requires effort and are willing to put in the work to achieve their goals. They also engage in the training process, asking questions, seeking clarification, and providing feedback to ensure that the program aligns with their goals. Lastly, this client possess a positive attitude and resilience. They are punctual, committed to attending sessions, and dedicated to following through.
