Meet JT

We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful JT. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with JT below.

JT, we’re thrilled to have you sharing your thoughts and lessons with our community. So, for folks who are at a stage in their life or career where they are trying to be more resilient, can you share where you get your resilience from?
Trial and error. You may not accomplish your goal the first time… or the second time. You keep going until you reach your destination!

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?
My art/brand is a reflection of myself. It is an accumulation of my journey so far. I think that’s what’s important. You have to be patient in this game. It takes dedication, long hours, and multiple attempts before you might be heard or seen. And I think that’s where people quit too early. Never quit. There’s always a new goal, a higher level. Another Situation.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
Dedication, resilience and commitment. These are qualities you must have to be successful in any facet of life. You must outwork the competition. You must be able to adapt, grow and excel in any environment. And most importantly you have to stand out from everyone else.

What’s been one of your main areas of growth this year?
Learning to maintain a strong composure in any situation. There may be times when things go completely awry. But recently I’ve learned to not let the situation define the outcome. Taking control of any adversary will breed a solution to conflict. Rely on discipline over feelings and stay focused.
