Meet Kacey Johnson

We recently connected with Kacey Johnson and have shared our conversation below.

Kacey , so good to have you with us today. We’ve always been impressed with folks who have a very clear sense of purpose and so maybe we can jump right in and talk about how you found your purpose?
I have always been a people person, a connector & a lover of helping people. Since elementary school, I’ve been known to help anyone in any way that I can & it’s truly something I love & feel makes a difference in the world & people’s lives.

When I founded Ladies Lifestyle Network in Charlotte, NC in 2019 it was solely to empower women. Period. I wanted to create a space in person and online where women could be empowered, learn something, be featured for their specific talents & gifts, grow in their personal & professional lives, & have a community of like-minded women to lean on and feel supported by!

This became even more important to me after my separation from my husband & partner of twelve years & having just had my first baby (my daughter) just four months prior. All the sudden I was a 30 something single mother with a newborn & zero help from anyone, let alone the one person I trusted the most in the world. That’s when it REALLY hit me & I realized, women need a place to feel safe, be successful in life AND in business, have mentors who can & are happy to help them, guide them & give them inspiration to chase after their dreams. We need to be allowed & encouraged deeply to want more for ourselves, to go after those “crazy” ideas we have, all the while having other women cheering us on & rooting for us!

I LOVE this business I’ve created SO much – I know it is my purpose (outside of raising my three sweet children & loving my incredibly supportive husband) to empower women & help them achieve success personally & professionally! We’re all here for a purpose & it’s so much fun to see people fully stepping into theirs & having the confidence & support to do so! Ladies Lifestyle Network is now in 10 other cities across the country and also just launched the first chapter of Latinas Lifestyle Network here in Charlotte which provides the LLN events & online experience in Spanish so we are reaching and impacting as many women as we can! It’s amazing to watch these communities grow – it’s truly a dream come true.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
I am very focused on expanding Ladies Lifestyle Network into more cities nationwide. I want as many women in our local communities to have the opportunities to share about their businesses, connect with local & supportive women and to have a place and event that they look forward to going to every month because they know how they’re going to feel once they get in that room & when they leave it! My goal and dream is for every woman who walks into our rooms to leave it feeling better than when she got there and hopefully learning something new from the speaker or another woman she connected with at the event. We also feature a local non-profit at each event and donate ticket sales to them so I also dream to impact and donate to as MANY non-profits as possible across the country! It’s one of my favorite aspects of Ladies Lifestyle Network.

I’m also the host of my podcast “Chick Chat Collective” where women share about their lives, experiences and stories! After going through a very traumatic divorce when my first child was only four months old, I was so fearful of SO many things. I realized that sharing and relating to other women was the best thing for my mental health. So on “Chick Chat Collective” we chat about ALLLLL the things! The good, the bad, the hilarious, the inspiring & the lessons!

I’m also looking forward to launching courses for women this year through Ladies Lifestyle Network and our first e-book all about getting connected with women in your community. It will be called “Empowered & Inspired” & will be available on our website at www.ladieslifestylenetwork.com or on Amazon! It will be published in June, 2024!

I’m always looking for ambitious women to lead a chapter of LLN in their respective areas, if you’d like to apply you can go to our website www.ladieslifestylenetwork.com and click on “start a chapter” for a super quick application!

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Looking back I would say the three qualities that matter the most and are the most impactful on my journey as an entrepreneur are:

Mindset : I am constantly failing & learning new lessons and I’ve realized this is ALL part of the process to becoming successful. Instead of letting failures deter me or make me think I’m not cut out for this, I let them propel me into a new direction and consider it a lesson learned. I’ve learned many lessons in the last decade of becoming the kind of business owner I am now (& I still have a lifetime of lessons to learn) and I’m grateful for all of them. Some experiences and people have taught me how I don’t want to be & some have shown me I’m capable of so much more than I’m already doing! You just have to have your mind right. Also understanding nobody is coming to do this, build this, or make this any easier on you. You have to take responsibility for your dreams and you have to execute!

Connecting: I have always been a good listener and have truly cared what others have to say and share. I find human stories to interesting and inspiring just as a character trait and I think that helps people feel comfortable with me so they are more willing to share and connect with me. I’m so grateful for this. Always listen more than you talk, it’s important that others know they have a voice when they’re chatting with you.

Humility: I am the first person to admit when I can’t do something or don’t know how to do it and I am good at asking for help. I don’t, nor does anyone else on the planet (no matter what their IG says), have the answers to everything. The top CEO’s and entrepreneurs are questioning themselves daily. The best moms are questioning their parenting all the time, the best of you name it need help and know they don’t have the answer to everything. I’m also always willing to share my lessons so that others can learn quicker from my mistakes and don’t have to experience it for themselves.

Okay, so before we go we always love to ask if you are looking for folks to partner or collaborate with?
I am always looking for these types of women to launch a chapter of Ladies Lifestyle Network in their communities:
