Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Kacey Williams. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Kacey, thank you so much for joining us and offering your lessons and wisdom for our readers. One of the things we most admire about you is your generosity and so we’d love if you could talk to us about where you think your generosity comes from.
So, my generosity comes from within me I know how I like to be treated by others so I would like everyone I come in contact to experience happiness my goal is to put smiles on the faces of others because you never what they may be going through in their personal life, mentally and physically so why not make someone happy.
Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?
Hello, my name is Kacey and I was diagnosed with cancer in June 2020 with a successful remission as of 3/2/21 and like myself my biggest issue was losing my hair and so I have started this project for little girls, teenagers and adult women to show them that they are not alone on their journey. I have collected 200+ SURVIVOR DOLLS to donate to anyone that has been effected by a hair loss with the help of social media, friends and family I would like everyone to play a part in this project it’s call Dolls For Smiles, my mission is to donate a Survivor doll to little girls, teens and adult women to just put a smile on their face to let them know We Got This and we are Survivors.
I have also started a fundraiser called Kaceys’KeepSakes where I sell my branded items to help other families caring for others battling cancer or any other illness. With the help of social media, friends and family I try to spread the word about my mission to make others smile.
If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Looking back on my journey I had to find myself and my purpose it was a rough road but Spiritual growth and leaning on God was how I found peace within.
Emotional growth I focused on the development and management of how I felt. I learned through my group that “My faith is not feelings, and my feelings are not faith”. I had to learn and still learning how you react to situations. While challenges such as stress and anxiety can contribute to burnout, emotional growth helped me overcome some challenges.
Physical growth involved me taking care of my body and using it in productive ways. As my body was on its way to healing, I knew that I had a second chance to take care of myself and my body. I focused on physical growth by eating healthy meals, exercising regularly and getting adequate sleep.
Okay, so before we go we always love to ask if you are looking for folks to partner or collaborate with?
I am always looking for others to collaborate with on this journey like I said before word of mouth and social media along with friends and family spreading the word is how I get to donate to others I would love to find other individuals and even companies that would be willing to collaborate and even donate so that my mission is complete to fulfill smiles on the faces of others. I’m looking to work with likeminded individuals that don’t mind helping to be generous to others.
