We recently connected with Kaili Spear and have shared our conversation below.
My thought process when developing an ability to take risks can be wild, but a wild mind is needed at times so let me explain. Getting uncomfortable is what we need to do in order to get comfortable and eventually reach the next level with our highest self. One great thing about getting uncomfortable is that it forces you to take risks then allows you into different rooms with different point of views which you learn from them. Use these experiences gained to become a higher version of yourself. It’s not easy at first trying new things and getting yourself out the usual bubble we like to stay in. It’s truly mandatory for success to take risks on a daily. Life itself is a risk, everyday we step foot outside our homes or even in our homes we take a slight risk of making some mistake. Mistakes exist so that after we take the 3 L’s which in this case is taking a Loss into a Lessons Learned. Once you have learned from your mistakes and experiences you become wiser and know not to take a certain route again. See this all correlates to risks, taking risks should come natural because we literally do it every day. I don’t mean to fear y’all but for example, say I’m hungry therefore I leave from my house with good intentions to make it to a food place. The odds are I could end up dying on the way there in a car accident, someone can try to rob me at the gas station when I stop for gas and there you have it folks now I’m in a predicament I didn’t ask to be in but its now my reality. Heres a funnier one imagine getting to the food place safely then taking it to go and eating it in the comfort of my home. Now all of a sudden I don’t feel all too good and I end up with food poisoning. Then I try to call out of work but they tell me I have no more sick days and I could get fired either way now because they won’t let me show up to work sick nor will they let me have a sick day. This means I could now be jobless which could lead to me becoming homeless. Just to clarify why I am saying all these bad scenarios because everyday just living is already a risk itself so why not take more “purposeful” good risks towards a brighter future. Maybe I am crazy but I tend to think about all the scenarios of a risk before I actually take one. I ask myself first is it worth it and then if I am physically, mentally, spiritually and financially ready to take the certain risk. A long the way it may turn out great or it could just fumble but either way at least I am learning and growing especially if I am still here breathing and alive to keep taking the purposeful risks. I’m still going to push myself as hard as I can until I get to where I truly desire and can have more control over what my future can hold. I definitely don’t want my life in someone else’s control which is the goal becoming financially free so I can create my own schedule and pursue life to the fullest. I want to take good risks over bad risks any day and there’s a big difference because we can predict to an extent what a certain path could lead us to in the end. Meaning I want to fuel my mind, body and soul with good habits. Look at the ultimate end goal when you choose the initial risks for yourself in regards to your future self. Look at life like a game. Learn the game and then control what you can. This thing called life as we all know is not a literal game that you can put a pause to and you definitely don’t want to slack in. Think about all the outcomes of a risk, strategize the best you can before leaping but don’t doubt yourself you need to feel confident and invincible when doing so. When you have your head in the game and you aim to be the best majority of the time it turns out to be good results. Even if it ends up not being a win take those 3 L’s use those new skills and knowledge you gained through the experience and then become even better than before which will eventually result in success. The best part about this game called life is that you can try again! That good ole saying, “If you first don’t succeed, try, try again!”
Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
My name is Kaili, but many know me as Cheekz from High School carrying into my college career. I am a native to Columbus, Ga, representing for the 706 and my hometown Province of Vicenza, Bassano Del Grappa, Italy. Ultimately, I am a creative and have been since I could remember as a toddler. I have great memories and traumatic ones but I am grateful to have both in the picture because that is what has been building my character. Let’s just say I am appreciating my story so far and looking forward to more positive increases along the way. Now my focus is to create more, whether that’s photography, video, graphic designs, limited edition clothing and more I would love to step my foot in many more creative outlets. Establishing further into my photography and film production business is my ultimate goal for now. Owning a building of my own is what I’m pushing towards and sooner or later directing a short film and/or movie with a production team is another goal of mine. Eventually I plan on doing so much more but creative direction has been a love of mine since I was young. Creating and innovating is what I enjoy most and its just second nature to me.
There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
Having an open mind, curiosity and confidence has allowed me to really venture in many creative paths. An open mind gave me a better perception of my environment and those who walk the same Earth as me. I try my best to be mindful as a whole when having interactions and gaining curiosity for the world I share a deep love with. I came across many unique creatives so far throughout this journey. Everyone being ardent and having an astonishing talent. But what has honestly been most impactful throughout this journey is the exploration of self. Who am I and What can I become? Those questions alone brought curiosity to wanting to know more about myself and my surroundings. With that being said, I have gained lots of experience simply just by putting myself out there into the creative world more. Do not be scared to be your true self in your current state that you are creatively, spiritually, mentally and physically. I feel we fail at times just by not being ourselves and sometimes all you had to do was be you in order to reach the next level you were meant to reach in the first place. Be fearless as you journey through the different realms of this life and by realms I mean the chapters of life we all face. Use those experiences and create something so magical and legendary. Because we are all deserving to be the main character of our own little BIG world we call life.
What is the number one obstacle or challenge you are currently facing and what are you doing to try to resolve or overcome this challenge?
“Our now is all we have control over. Our reality is what we are able to create. We are all capable of picking up that paintbrush and start creating. Create, that’s ultimately why we are here, to do exactly that. We have the ability to create our own realities and how we also perceive our reality makes a major difference. I asked myself…Why wait to see what tomorrow will bring when we can create a better today? Who am I now? What do I want to be at this very moment? What actions am I taking now, that will reflect on me and affect my reality in the near future? Every second forward matters. Every failure we have overcome has lead us to this very moment. This beautiful and magical pivotal point.”
So don’t be afraid to be yourself, explore yourself…Be You! Being a creative is one of the greatest and most magical gifts I could ever asked for. At times when I create I feel like a true magician because of how magical it truly is coming up with original ideas or even being influenced by other artists to make something of your own. I mean look around you, there are so many great inventions and ideas still waiting to manifest into reality. If only we had more time to create rather than struggle to make ends meet at times in terms of just living in this current economy. It saddens me much at times, but we have to remind ourselves that we are capable of making greater changes to better our environment. Trust me I understand and we will make it through! Keep up the great work so far, there’s so much more to be discovered around us and within us still. So be eager to learn more and create endlessly in all forms. A quick reminder to all my wonderful creatives out there, its impact over profit, its WE over ME!… Share your story and journey because testimonials can drive a nation. You can’t go through this alone, success is when you know you gave it your all! The time is NOW! If your “why” is so important… NO EXCUSES from here on out! You are the number one creator in your life… with the canvases in front of you, pick up the paintbrush and use all the beautiful colors the world has to offer and create the greatest picture you can imagine! It’s up to you to be committed and to craft your success accordingly. Paint until your masterpiece is complete!
