Meet Kari Jai Wright

We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Kari Jai Wright a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Kari , appreciate you sitting with us today to share your wisdom with our readers. So, let’s start with resilience – where do you get your resilience from?
I would say the source of my resilience comes from a variety of people around me. Becoming a Pro Wrestler is still such a surreal feeling you go through all the trials and moments of your life that would seem to be very difficult. It’s the people around me that still continue to have the drive to accomplish what they had their eyes set on. Everyone goes through something but these are the challenges that are suppose to craft you in to who you need to be to accomplish your purpose.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?
Well ladies and gentlemen, the man you are reading about today is known as “The Reincarnation of Excellence” Kari Jai Wright. I’m a pro wrestler, as you can clearly see lol but there’s a few things that I would like to accomplish outside of Pro Wrestling. Before I get into that sub topic I want to establish what the Reincarnation of Excellence is most would assume I’m a copy of past performers when that’s not it at all. I’ll try to sum this up quickly, how many times have you doubted your own capabilities, how many times have you been in the way of your own progress, that was me. Just like any other person I had those doubts and self sabotaging moments. One day I was just tired of feeling that way when I know, and those around me, my capabilities what I could achieve if I locked in and stopped thinking negatively towards myself. This moment was a time of rebirth for me I knew the excellence within myself and right there “The Reincarnation of Excellence” was born. At the end of the day you will be your worst critic or you flip it and become your biggest supporter. Now some might be asking, why do you choose to do this what makes this special, In the world of pro wrestling, what I do is dive into the excitement of this never-ending cinematic experience. It’s a physical spectacle that combines athleticism and storytelling, crafting moments that resonate like scenes in an ongoing movie—a unique blend that captivates fans and makes each match something special. Sounds pretty dope right lol. Something’s that I’m getting into is currently working on becoming a personal trainer, starting a athletic wear line, and just expanding and growing as a person

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
The need to want to know more, the ability to say no and self talk. Through different challenges amongst life remembers what you learned from those situations and be honest with yourself. Whatever it is you want to do have to same curiosity about it like a child would asking questions and just wondering how things with, there’s a never ending pool of knowledge. Learning to say no, didn’t realize before, can save you from situations you don’t want to be in and demonstrates you’’re a person that has boundaries on what you’re are willing to do. Lastly, self talk one voice you will hear all the time will be your own talk positive about yourself highlight the positive things you find within yourself. Granted let’s not be delusional and live in a word where nothing happens, life will be life as we all know. The difficulty of life is hard enough why not take control of what you can, that being your mental heath.

What was the most impactful thing your parents did for you?
Aside from raising me, keeping a roof over my head, clothes on my back & food to eat every night. I would say the most impactful thing they have done for me was saying they are proud of what I’m doing. It’s cool to know that I have their full support and they aren’t ashamed to support what I do.
