We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Karina Ramos a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.
Karina, we’re so excited for our community to get to know you and learn from your journey and the wisdom you’ve acquired over time. Let’s kick things off with a discussion on self-confidence and self-esteem. How did you develop yours?
Developing confidence and self-esteem is a journey that involves a combination of self-reflection, discipline, and continuous learning and growth. I used to think that confidence was something you were either born with or not. As I got older, I realized that confidence and self-esteem are actually byproducts of you maintaining your word and your commitments to yourself. The process of saying you are going to do something and actually doing it – over and over again. Keeping your word to yourself is the greatest confidence builder. Overtime you begin to develop self-trust which leads to a higher self-esteem, and then you develop the external confidence to match the internal shifts you are experiencing.
Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?

To put it plainly?
I’m obsessed with helping women become modern CEOs and generate their first seven-figures in business.
If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
When reflecting on my journey, three qualities stand out as the most impactful.
1. Maintaining a Growth Mindset: Cultivating the belief that my abilities and expertise can be developed with dedication and intentional work was crucial. This mindset encouraged me to embrace challenges and view failures as opportunities for growth.
2. Practicing Resilience: Overcoming obstacles and facing adversity head-on strengthened my belief in my abilities. Each challenge conquered reinforced my sense of self-worth and taught me valuable lessons about perseverance.
3. Celebrating Successes, Big or Small: Recognizing and celebrating my achievements, regardless of their size, played a vital role. This practice helped me acknowledge my worth and capabilities, fostering a positive environment for continuous improvement.
For those who are early in their journey, you have to believe that your abilities are not fixed but can be developed through effort and learning. Embrace challenges and see failures as stepping stones towards improvement. This will give you the perspective to not be discouraged by setbacks. Instead, use them as opportunities to learn and grow. Remember, each obstacle you overcome is a testament to your strength and capabilities. This practice will not only boost your confidence but also reinforce your belief in yourself. Remember, your journey is a continuous process of learning and growth. Stay committed, stay positive, and keep moving forward.
Any advice for folks feeling overwhelmed?
Feeling overwhelmed can be a common experience as a growing entrepreneur. You are constantly working through things that you have never done or experienced before. When I was first starting on my journey, I would go through dozens of notebooks and planners hoping one of them held the key to eliminating the overwhelm I was experiencing. After a lot of trial and error, I knew that I had to create a system that supported my way of learning, organizing and being efficient with getting things done. If I was going through this problem, my community was too and that is when my stationary company, Hustle Flow Daily, was born.
Now, when I am feeling overwhelmed, I open my notebook and just brain dump all of the thoughts in my head onto the page. That allows me to reset my focus from feeling overwhelmed to being curious about what is actually causing that feeling.
I will then organize that brain dump into categories that relate to different areas of my life and business.
With that self-awareness, I determine what is the number 1 thing I could do right now that would make every other task on my list be unnecessary or not an immediate priority. That helps me create a plan of action that I can tackle that day. Instead of looking at a looming list of to-do’s, I narrow the list down to the #1 most important action I can take in that moment that will make the rest of the task feel less daunting and create the most momentum towards accomplishing the rest of the task. Then I get to work! If it’s a large list, I prioritize my top 3 and create a plan of action for that day and circle back to the rest of the list when I am planning out my next day.
