Meet Katrina, Madelysse Johnson, Dam

We were lucky to catch up with Katrina, Madelysse Johnson, Dam recently and have shared our conversation below.

Katrina, Madelysse, looking forward to learning from your journey. You’ve got an amazing story and before we dive into that, let’s start with an important building block. Where do you get your work ethic from?
We’re incredibly lucky to have been raised by resilient, hardworking parents. We’ve seen them not only raise us but also continue to pursue their careers seamlessly.

As a woman-owned and operated business, witnessing our mothers juggle motherhood and career demands has been truly inspiring. They’ve instilled in us the belief that with hard work and determination, we can achieve anything we set our minds to. We carry their lessons with us always, shaping how we run our business.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
Throughout the years, we have celebrated countless milestones alongside our loved ones. We have always found a thrill in organizing these special moments for our family and friends. And now, we’re bringing our expertise to you!

We specialize in event planning and selfie booth rental. Whether you need wedding coordination, a birthday celebration planned down to the smallest detail or just some selfie booth magic added to your event! We’re your girls!

As a woman owned and operated business – we take pride in creating unforgettable memories that will last a lifetime. Whether it’s turning your Pinterest board ideas into reality or bringing your unique vision to life, we are committed to crafting an event that exceeds your expectations!

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
In our journey, We found adaptability, curiosity, and persistence to be incredibly important. Being open to new experiences, staying curious about the world, and never giving up, even when things get tough, made a big difference. My advice for those starting out is to embrace change, stay curious, and keep pushing forward no matter what. Remember, every step you take, no matter how small, is progress!

Any advice for folks feeling overwhelmed?
We’re fortunate to have each other for support whenever either of us feels overwhelmed. Our partnership in business is what we’re most grateful for. On a personal note, it’s important to remember to take breaks and prioritize self-care. Balancing business and everyday life isn’t easy, so don’t hesitate to take a day or two to reset, recharge, and refocus when needed!
