Meet Keatyn Wright

We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Keatyn Wright a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Keatyn, so good to have you with us today. We’ve always been impressed with folks who have a very clear sense of purpose and so maybe we can jump right in and talk about how you found your purpose?
I started KEATYN KLAUS unexpectedly in 2017, when a dear friend begged me to design, install, and remove her Christmas decor. She had family coming in from Europe and was going to be out of town up until the day that they arrived. When we first met, we instantly bonded over our Christmas/snow obsession, so I guess you could say she already knew that our visions would align perfectly. Once said friend saw the results, she was in awe and posted the images on her IG. I can promise you that God had his hand in it because instantly people were like, “Ummm I need this service. Sign me up for next year right now!” Therefore, KEATYN KLAUS began.

I’ve been Christmas obsessed since birth and I’m a December baby. Never in a million years would I have thought that this obsession would pay off as a full-time career, but as they say, “Never say never.” I thank God everyday for handing me this dream that is now a reality where I can be a mother and entrepreneur all at the same time. He sure had a plan and I feel so fortunate to be living it.

My hope is that our team can help make your holiday design dreams come true, but most importantly—give you the time to savor the holidays and focus on being present with your loved ones. Fueled by our passion for the holidays, it’s our distinct privilege to serve each of our clients however they see fit. Large or small- we are here to help you along the way.

Currently KEATYN KLAUS is a Nashville-based holiday decorating company, with additional online and virtual service options for those outside of middle Tennessee.

Apart from my career as Keatyn Klaus, I am legally Keatyn Wright…married to the most amazing man, Nick Wright (aka St. Nick) and we have two sweet boys, Castle and Noble.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
Keatyn Klaus is a Nashville-based full service holiday decorating company with additional online and virtual service options for those outside of middle Tennessee. With our approach, we tackle everything from early design planning and project management, to the physical installation and removal at your residence or business. The whole concept is that if you don’t need an assistant year round, then simply hire one when you need it most… which is usually around the holidays. Every design is unique and customized to your personality and style, as we prefer your space to reflect who you are. Unlike everyday design firms, we’ve chosen to specialize solely in holiday designs. Holidays are the front runner, and everything else comes secondary. It’s usually the opposite, so you won’t find that anywhere else. We sell products and merchandise to the public by request and/or on our shop page. Check it out! There will be more things to come on that side of things too, so keep your eyes and ears open for those rising updates!

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
Serving others is what drives me. My clients’ love, appreciation, and support is music to my ears. As any entrepreneur will tell you, it’s hard to silence those uncertain voices in your ear every now and then saying, “Is this really worth it?”. I am quickly reminded by each of them that, “Yes, it is!”. I have no doubt that my Enneagram 2 self is fueled most by being a servant to others on this earth. Bringing joy to each of them is truly what keeps me motivated to continue to build my company.

Is there a particular challenge you are currently facing?
Currently, the biggest challenge is balancing motherhood and entrepreneurship. No matter how much you love your job, work-life balance is always going to be a struggle. With 2 boys under the age of 3 and a company that continues to grow each holiday season, everyday is a lesson. I’m just going to continue putting one foot in front of the other!
