Meet Kellie Peach Nash

We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Kellie Peach Nash a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Kellie Peach, so great to be with you and I think a lot of folks are going to benefit from hearing your story and lessons and wisdom. Imposter Syndrome is something that we know how words to describe, but it’s something that has held people back forever and so we’re really interested to hear about your story and how you overcame imposter syndrome.
That’s a very funny question in some ways… I wonder if any of us ever overcome imposter syndrome forever! I really believe it comes and goes, but I see what I have accomplished in my life, and it tells me to CONTINUE ON. I guess you could say, I just KEEP GOING, KEEP DOING, KEEP BELIEVING. My community is always supporting me and putting steam behind me. It helps me to believe in myself when others are willing to take part in these wild ideas of mine. There is no way I could do what I do without the artists, galleries and other collaborators in my life.

Thanks for sharing that. So, before we get any further into our conversation, can you tell our readers a bit about yourself and what you’re working on?
I am an art enthusiast for nearly 2 decades. I work with artists as an Agent, representing visual creators in my boutique agency.
I have also been a curator for nearly half my life now, and I can’t tell you how inspiring it is to constantly be looking at people who are so extremely creative and ground breaking. It gives me life. I’ll never stop seeking out art that makes me think, makes me pause, and leaves an imprint on me in any way that it does.

I am currently working hard to expand my community of gallerists, collectors, designers and project managers who are looking to have something truly unique in their realm. I believe in the people who I work closely with, and we are doing all that we can to get their creations out their into the hands of people who will treasure them – be it an original painting, epic photo, a mural project or other things folks are dreaming into creation. I thrive off the ideas of others, and love taking part in bringing them to life.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
3 Qualities I think have kept me going are :: Wonder, Motivation and Flexibility. Working with artists is no easy thing, but the rewards are many, and the relationships are priceless.

My best advice is to be PATIENT and to BE REALLY GOOD AT COMMUNICATING. You might have to say the same thing in several ways, several times. Artists are a very unique breed of people, and we are all trying to work on being grounded yet creative, at the same time! I adore the process of developing relationships (and the uniqueness that each connection brings), but I understand that each of us is in our very own process, and it needs to be nourished with care.

How can folks who want to work with you connect?
I am always looking for new folks to collaborate with. I would love to see our work in all kinds of places… I am deeply inspired by interior designers that are far outside of the box of the “norm”. I also love the idea of seeing our work out there for band posters, book covers and even on fabrics.

Another avenue I’ve been considering is seeing how to get our work out there for unique beer cans and wine labels. I LOVE all the unique labels I am seeing in the last 5 years, and I can see it’s growing more and more! Who do I talk to about THAT? Haha.
