We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Kevin Sanders. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Kevin below.
Kevin, thanks so much for taking the time to share your insights and lessons with us today. We’re particularly interested in hearing about how you became such a resilient person. Where do you get your resilience from?
Serving in the USArmy, I was taught to adopt and overcome. No matter how many changes came your way, or how difficult something was, you had no choice but to pursue onward. The mission was the most important at hand. I bring that over to my business. There have been and will always be challenges that come your way. What you do in that moment, will either make you or break you. You either succeed or fail. Failure, isn’t an option for me. I refuse to give up.
Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?
So, I started a pressure washing and window cleaning business after my years of service in the military. I’m always focused on that and how to keep that growing and successful. I’m also on a board of a nonprofit for helping veterans shy away from suicide and help with PTSD. Minutes Wisley, specializes in creating an atmosphere to allow the veteran get out of their natural environment and place them to all expenses paid experience in the sport realm. Whether it’s football, basketball, hockey, soccer, or even deep sea fishing. We’re here to save lives no matter the cost.
I’m also in the process of creating social media presence on sharing the positivity. I enjoy taking life experiences and sharing what I went through and how I overcome those experiences to help someone else achieve success.
If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Willingness to learn and be humble. There’s never a day off, and always be persistent. If you want something bad enough, you will do whatever it takes to accomplish it. When your family or friends are having fun, there are times where you need to be preparing a schedule, working on the business, or even figuring out what to do next to make the business grow. Sacrifice is something that me hard to handle.
What’s been one of your main areas of growth this year?
Eliminating any and all distractions out of my life. The wrong friends, the wrong relationship, and even the family members that don’t support you. Once I did that in my life, my business grew more than anticipated over the last 12 months.
