Meet Khadizah Amos

We caught up with the brilliant and insightful Khadizah Amos a few weeks ago and have shared our conversation below.

Khadizah, we are so happy that our community is going to have a chance to learn more about you, your story and hopefully even take in some of the lessons you’ve learned along the way. Let’s start with self-care – what do you do for self-care and has it had any impact on your effectiveness?
My self care ranges from doing what makes me happy to just saying no. I was able to incorporate what I use for self care into my business such as massage oil and aromatherapy candles, waist beads, and even designing that perfect fit.

Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
I am a fashion designer and creative artist. I create apparel, candles, waist beads, and resin art. My brand allows women to indulge in self care and self love. My creativity is really special to me because I was able to use it in ways to help better myself as a woman and even pass these principles on to other women.

If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
I would say spirituality, self care, and creativity lol. These 3 things are impactful because there was a point in my life where I thought I didn’t have a purpose or even the knowledge of knowing what I wanted out of life. Once I started my spirituality journey it was pretty much like a domino effect everything started to follow right behind. I tapped into my spirituality which helped me indulge in creativity which allowed me to do different creative things to express self care and love.

Thanks so much for sharing all these insights with us today. Before we go, is there a book that’s played in important role in your development?
I recommend EVERY WOMAN to read Queen Afua Sacred Woman book, it’s a guide to healing the feminine body, mind, and spirit. We carry so many different generational blocks and curses not even knowing it’s the reason why we aren’t happy with self this book talks a lot about a woman connecting with her womb. Our womb is where our creative energy is. There are different mantras and meditations to help tap into that power. Queen Afua even has a journal that goes with the book, it’s pretty much 84 days of healing and reflecting. I absolutely LOVE it!
