Meet Kid Kush

We were lucky to catch up with Kid Kush recently and have shared our conversation below.

Kid, thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts with us today. We’re excited to dive into your story and your work, but first let’s start with a broader topic that might be stopping many of our readers from pursuing their dreams – haters, nay-sayers, etc. How have you managed to persist despite haters and nay-sayers that inevitably follow folks who are doing something unique, special or off the beaten path?
Jesus was perfect and they hated him. You can’t live your life trying to please everyone otherwise you’ll never live life fully.

Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?
I make hip-hop music I have over 100,000 streams on Spotify and music for just about every kind of mood. I have an ep dropping soon

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
Persistence, knowing how to release music and understanding how to set up a promotional plan. You have to stay at it even when you don’t want to that’s how you get results but also you have to know where to put the music out and exactly how to. You can release 10 tracks a day but if you don’t promote it right it’ll never be heard. You can record 10 songs day but if you don’t know where to put it out at you’ll never be heard

How can folks who want to work with you connect?
I’m always looking for people to collaborate with I feel like I can make music for just about any genre so it doesn’t need to be a specific niche. You can contact me a [email protected] for collaboration
