Meet Kierra Miller

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Kierra Miller. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Kierra, thanks so much for taking the time to share your insights and lessons with us today. We’re particularly interested in hearing about how you became such a resilient person. Where do you get your resilience from?
When asked where do I get my resilience, there’s only one answer, my son. My son, Amir was born with a Congential Heart Defect in 2021. He has undergone two open heart surgeries and a number of procedures. Imagine watching your child have IVs, hooked to machines, having collapsed lungs, and the list can go and on and months later, he’s home, smiling, playing and just being a normal baby … it definitely made me resilient. It taught me that things are truly seasonal and you have to overcome any difficulty by any means necessary without much complaints. In life, we are dealt the cards, it’s up to us to chose how to play the hand.

Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?
Hey Everyone,

I am Kierra, 21-year-old from Jacksonville, Florida. I have many roles in life haha but I am a mom of two, fiance, nursing student and content creator/influencer. I love influencing and content creating because I can showcase this thing we all call life. I don’t have a set niche as most do because as humans we do not fit into one box, our lives don’t follow under one box, we are versatile, we have variety in our life so that’s how my content works. Some days, i’m posting nursing school content, other days, I’m giving mommy tips, and then the next, i’m showing off some new items I purchased or received from a brand.

There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
On this journey, three huge things that helped me out on my journey is the advice to be relatable and transparent with your community, learning about the other features of your iphone to improve the quality of your videos and learning basic editing skills and applications such as capcut. For those who want to become a content creator/influencer, document your now. Don’t try to keep the same standard as everyone else you see on social media, set yourself apart and just start ! Yes, you reading this, just start and then DON’T STOP.

Who has been most helpful in helping you overcome challenges or build and develop the essential skills, qualities or knowledge you needed to be successful?
My fiance has been so helpful in my transition to full-time content creating and influencing. He holds my camera, listens to my rants about my content then reminds me that everything is a process, helps me brainstorm content ideas, and so much more. When I decided to take content creating seriously, he purchased an e-book from Carlos D. Harris, a influencer that we both watch often and he said “I don’t know much about content creating, but I’m here to help and support you.” Ever since, I’ve given my all to content creating.
