Kijana Sharif, we’re thrilled to have you sharing your thoughts and lessons with our community. So, for folks who are at a stage in their life or career where they are trying to be more resilient, can you share where you get your resilience from?
I get my resilience and work ethic from my faith and deep belief and trust in the Lord. As much as I want to quit and give up sometimes my faith will not let me. My forever trust in the Lord that this is truly my calling will not let me stop pursuing greatness.
Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
I am a home chef with a small catering business striving to become larger. I cater events, birthdays, holidays, baby showers etc. I also participate in local pop up events. I am also a small content creator on YouTube and Instagram and soon Facebook. Hopefully in the near future I will acquire a food truck and later open a quaint cafe.
There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
Faith, passion and drive are what keep me going. The most important advice I could ever give anyone with a dream, is to never give up. No matter how hard or how many set backs, just never give up!
If you knew you only had a decade of life left, how would you spend that decade?
I would spend every last minute loving on my family and friends and helping others.” “Also enjoying life to the fullest and fulfilling all bucket list, which includes my dream of owning a cafe and leaving a legacy while hopefully inspiring others.” As I always say “never ever give up”
