Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Kingdawud Burgess. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Kingdawud, thank you so much for joining us. You are such a positive person and it’s something we really admire and so we wanted to start by asking you where you think your optimism comes from?
My optimism comes from growing up in a place I saw many people fail to escape. Washington, D.C was considered the murder Capital and it took a lot making it out alive. I was always optimistic that I would be the one to make it out.
Great, so let’s take a few minutes and cover your story. What should folks know about you and what you do?
I’m constently getting better. My roles in life are many. I like helping people so I created a non profit organization called ManyBrilliantMinds. I also have a passion and talent for music and film so I started DirtyCide Multi media L.L.C. With a degree in film and several scripts from books I’ve written and published, my company is in the process of shooting it’s first movie titled 100 years in Morocco. I also love to dress and drive nice cars while ch made me create Lavishlivin L.L.C. I have a few brands I’m selling in amazon. Outside of this I’m doing a lot of public speaking when ch is a part of me giving back to anyone who is willing to listen and learn from the mistakes I made.
If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
Focus.
Determination.
Ability to imagine.
Who has been most helpful in helping you overcome challenges or build and develop the essential skills, qualities or knowledge you needed to be successful?
To be honest I would have to say the Prophet Muhammad. I read a few books written about him which totally changed my life.
He was a statesman, a business man, a war general, a adviser and more.
Un today’s society it’s important to have likes and followers and in real life he has over 2 billion followers.
My mother is the other person I look up to. She died when I was ten years of age but she prepared me for the life I lived.
