We’re excited to introduce you to the always interesting and insightful Krystle Robinson-Hershey. We hope you’ll enjoy our conversation with Krystle below.
Hi Krystle , thanks for sharing your insights with our community today. Part of your success, no doubt, is due to your work ethic and so we’d love if you could open up about where you got your work ethic from?
I get my work ethic from my parents and my great grandmother. I watched them work corporate jobs and own businesses. I feel like if they had limited access to resources and could still be successful then I could be successful with the resources that I had/have access to.
Thanks, so before we move on maybe you can share a bit more about yourself?
Sage & Elm Apothecary creates customized products, especially with you in mind. Here at Sage & Elm Apothecary, I use simple ingredients such as whole fruits and vegetables. I love creating products for the body and home from plants. What makes Sage and Elm Apothecary special is that we grow and work with other growers, harvest and produce products for the bath, home, and well being. My products are colorful and rich in texture which is inspired and created from the plants. People have become familiar with our unique colorful products inspired by my culture.
There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
On my journey I think about my eagerness to learn, sit, and learn with elders to learn more about plants, while bringing my artistry with my therapeutic approach to care for your total well being. My background in clinical psychology is at the root of wellness and in the intent of the items I create to promote peace. I would encourage others to listen to their customers and watch the market trends in your industry.
How would you spend the next decade if you somehow knew that it was your last?
Currently one of the challenges is scaling fast enough to meet demand. I believe in the big picture and the little picture to reach our evolving goals.
