Alright, so we’re so thrilled to have Laketa with us today – welcome and maybe we can jump right into it with a question about one of your qualities that we most admire. How did you develop your work ethic? Where do you think you get it from?
My work ethics come from the business courses that I completed to obtain my bachelor degree in Accounting. The courses prepared me for on the job and life itself. My work ethic is very strong and important to me. My honest and trustworthy work is always appreciated by everyone.

Partiesandprints by B.J. offers custom event decor and a variety of print services. My print services include over 100 personalized products, such as backdrops, banners, obituaries, programs, backpacks, mugs, tumblers, shot glasses, license plates, photo pillows and blankets, mousepads, and more. My event services include custom decor, personalized party favors, balloon columns, garland and arches, backdrops, and linen setup.

I enjoy crafting and creating personalized products for one’s special day. I have enjoyed each experience. It’s such a pleasure to be a part of helping customers create great memories.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
Three skills that were most impactful in my journey are: punctuality, attention to details and professionalism.

My advice for people who are early in their journey is to pay attention to the market, remain focused and humble, strive to improve daily and always listen to your customers feedback to improve as needed.

What has been your biggest area of growth or improvement in the past 12 months?
My biggest area of growth in the past 12 months is creating memorial keepsakes for those who have lost loved ones unexpectedly.
