Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to LaToya Greene. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Hi LaToya, thanks for sharing your insights with our community today. Part of your success, no doubt, is due to your work ethic and so we’d love if you could open up about where you got your work ethic from?
I get my work ethic from my parents. My parents always led by example and therefore showed me through their own work ethics how to have good work ethics of my own. They both were very hard workers who are now retired. I watched them be dedicated, on time, professional, and they taught me accountability and responsibility. My mom retired from a government job after 31 years and she was always on time, stayed professional, and stayed dedicated until the day she retired. My dad ran a catering business which taught me entrepreneurship and leadership long before obtaining my business degree. They both instilled great values and work ethics in me that I now use within my own business and in my daily life.
Appreciate the insights and wisdom. Before we dig deeper and ask you about the skills that matter and more, maybe you can tell our readers about yourself?
I am a certified life coach and mental health coach and owner of New Beginnings Life Coaching Academy. I work with youth and adults who suffer with depression and low self esteem. I also have an online life coach certification program. My passion is helping people improve mental health and happiness. With mental health being something many people suffer with I aim to provide an additional source of help so people will know they are not alone and help is available.
If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
The qualities that were most impactful on my journey have been dedication, consistency, and my ability to help others self improve. For anyone who is just starting out make sure you are doing something you love to do. The more passionate you are about something the more dedicated you will be and the happier you will be because you’re doing what you enjoy.
Okay, so before we go we always love to ask if you are looking for folks to partner or collaborate with?
I am looking to expand my business clients. I collaborate with other businesses in the community such as private schools, churches, apartment properties, and any other businesses who would like to add a mental health support program for youth or adults , to their company or a life coach career training class for adults. I’m the person to connect with who can provide these services. This allows us to work together in helping people in the community improve mental health and learn new career skills.
