Meet Laura Bell

Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Laura Bell. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.

Hi Laura, thank you so much for opening up with us about some important, but sometimes personal topics. One that really matters to us is overcoming Imposter Syndrome because we’ve seen how so many people are held back in life because of this and so we’d really appreciate hearing about how you overcame Imposter Syndrome.
I spent most of my life not believing that I was really dealing with imposter syndrome. Until one day my counselor showed me that I was carrying that around and the signs that I was. SO, I started on a journey of practicing some simple steps.

1) Find the lie and the feeling. I spent time paying attention and writing notes on when I would feel the imposter syndrome rise. where i felt it in my body and what triggered that feeling.
2)i would write it down and then I would walk away from the situation to prove it wrong. What lie did i believe? and what is untrue about it? then, i would prove it wrong.
3) After I found evidence of it not being true i would then create a new thought with teh truth.

I based this on scripture sharing “take every thought captive..”
This was a huge journey and a truly healing one that took great intention and thought!

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?
I am Laura Bell, wife to my high school sweet heart and mother to 3 kids!

My business is a faith based business that calls women to learn the power of their design and what happens when they tap into their worth. I just finished my first published book “You Can Always Come Home” and it will launch October 2024!

I recently launched an online course called FLOURISH: healing your mind, body and soul where I teach women to gain power and control on their hormone balance and regain healing for their lives again! This course launches quarterly and is a place that has helped hundreds of women get their lives back.

I am a southerner through and through so my platforms is really where I connect with people and share hope for hopeless through stories and encouragement on my page.

I am a speaker and writer and base my writing around biblical truth and helping women come into their worth! I am the host of the Finding Hope Podcast where I bring on guests who have stories that help the listener find hope in any situation!

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
understanding motivation vs discipline.

taking control of my own health and empowering myself above the medical system

learning administrative skills to bring into my own business

Building a business plan and making a path before myself in that.

As we end our chat, is there a book you can leave people with that’s been meaningful to you and your development?
necessary endings by Dr. Henry Cloud

This book helped me understanding that I have to learn when a season has passed and it is time for me to move away from something that might be hindering growth in my life.
