Alright – so today we’ve got the honor of introducing you to Letia Moore. We think you’ll enjoy our conversation, we’ve shared it below.
Hi Letia, thank you for joining us today and sharing your experiences and acquired wisdom with us. Burnout is a huge topic these days and so we’d love to kick things off by discussing your thoughts on overcoming or avoiding burnout
I overcome burnout by taking planned breaks throughout the year. Being a graphic designer can become overwhelming quickly due to people thinking that all you do is sit at a computer all day lol More recently I have also started to be more strict about communicating during business hours only and not making myself easily accessible to others.
Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?
I am a contract administrator for a general contracting company from 9-5 and a graphic designer, my passion from 5-9. I began designing during the pandemic and took it on as a hobby, which then turned into what is now known as She’s Creative Branding Company. The most exciting part is people’s reactions after receiving the finished product. It keeps me going and keeps me motivated because sometimes being an entrepreneur can be discouraging when you don’t feel as if you are doing enough. This year I will be relaunching my virtual assistant services and also adding new services throughout the year!
If you had to pick three qualities that are most important to develop, which three would you say matter most?
I believe that allowing others to give feedback or help in areas where I needed to come up was very impactful. I also believe that allowing myself to know that I am always teachable no matter how many years I have been a graphic designer also played a huge part in my journey. My advice is to never give up and to NEVER compare your journey to anyone else’s. And also nothing happens overnight it took me 3+ years to build steady clientele and get to the place where I am now
One of our goals is to help like-minded folks with similar goals connect and so before we go we want to ask if you are looking to partner or collab with others – and if so, what would make the ideal collaborator or partner?
I am currently looking for several people to collaborate with to help grow my portfolio. My clientele now are those mainly in the beauty industry but this year I want to expand into those who are in real estate, culinary arts, construction, sports, and much more! They can connect with me via email at info@shescreativeco.com or through Instagram @shescreativeco_!
