LilCee904, first a big thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts and insights with us today. I’m sure many of our readers will benefit from your wisdom, and one of the areas where we think your insight might be most helpful is related to imposter syndrome. Imposter syndrome is holding so many people back from reaching their true and highest potential and so we’d love to hear about your journey and how you overcame imposter syndrome.
It starts with knowing who you are first. You realize that they can only wear the mask for so long. They start when i finish. Copycats are a form of flattery.
Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?
I’m Lil Cee 904. I’m a music producer from Jacksonville, Fl. I grew up around music. my whole life. My whole family has been in and around music and entertainment as long as I can remember. I started real young playing in the band. I feel like I have a different style of producing and I work on my craft all the time. I can make beats in 15-20 minutes or I can take days or weeks to complete one. I’m proud of how far I’ve came musically, given all the obstacles I’ve overcome along the way. I have a lot more in store musically for any fans I have out there. My Instagram is Lilcee904. This is the best place to go to stay up to date with anything I have going on musically. Stay tuned!!!
There is so much advice out there about all the different skills and qualities folks need to develop in order to succeed in today’s highly competitive environment and often it can feel overwhelming. So, if we had to break it down to just the three that matter most, which three skills or qualities would you focus on?
Hmmm, looking back on what was most impactful, I think the first would be love. You have to love what you do. The second area would be consistency because repetition can create habits. The third is determination/work ethic. Keep going. Never give up. Find your positive source and follow it.
Tell us what your ideal client would be like?
I like to create when I’m producing. It’s not really about the money. So creating a song that fits the time and the moment is important to me. So working with an artist who likes to create songs usually fits with me best Jadakiss is a very seasoned artist. He knows alot about music and has worked with everybody you can think of. He’s very calculated with his beat selection and is someone I would be in a session with. Rick Ross, Wiz Khalifa, and a couple other artists that I know are picky about their music making and i would definitely make music with them.
