Meet Lisa D. Adams

We recently connected with Lisa D. Adams and have shared our conversation below.

Lisa D., thank you so much for taking the time to share your lessons learned with us and we’re sure your wisdom will help many. So, one question that comes up often and that we’re hoping you can shed some light on is keeping creativity alive over long stretches – how do you keep your creativity alive?
I desire so much more out of life which causes my expectations to peak. My belief is as long as I have breath in my body I can have the desires of my heart. I am a person of vision. Once the vision appears I begin to jot down the details of what I see then I imagine the manifestation of what I visualize. I work for what I want. Of course, there are times when things do not go as planned but that’s just an opportunity to regroup.

Let’s take a small detour – maybe you can share a bit about yourself before we dive back into some of the other questions we had for you?
I’m at a point in my life where I am turning over every stone. I heard Steve Harvey say when God calls him home he wants to be on empty. My response to that statement is “Ditto”. I’m enjoying life at it’s fullest being an Award Winning Award Author and Filmmaker.

Over the past couple of years I have been more in touch with my creative side. This is done merely by removing the limits and freeing my mind to be open for newness which comes with a flow of ease.

Looking back, what do you think were the three qualities, skills, or areas of knowledge that were most impactful in your journey? What advice do you have for folks who are early in their journey in terms of how they can best develop or improve on these?
There are three things that keep me afloat which is my faith, family/circle, and encouragement from those I impact. Life is a journey filled with mountain highs and valley lows as well as the stuff in between. One thing that I have learned on this journey is that my story is not only for me but for those I encounter through life.

It is one thing to go through life as a victim but becoming victorious is another level of grace awarded by faith. There were some prerequisites required of me to become victorious. First of all, I had to face some fears and understand that my experiences were messages. The message was either to keep moving forward or pray then press reset. Either way it go, there was some knowledge obtained to carry me through those questionable times. I learned what to do, how to do it. who to talk to, and when to be quiet.

I encourage everyone to connect to individuals who love you regardless of the season you’re in. These individuals will not only praise your celebratory moments but they are going to pull your coattail when your walk seems to become crooked.

How can folks who want to work with you connect?
My creative flow consist of “Help Me Help My Son the Ongoing Conversation” which is my talk show that can be found on Ruku, Google, and many more of the streaming network. “Help Me Help My Son” the documentary and “My House My Rules…Not Up In Here” is another movie I wrote in effort to connecting families. I have my own personal line of jewelry and do abstract art. With that being said, yes, I am always looking to collaborate with like minded individuals.

My dream collaboration is to connect with individuals who have a heart for the betterment of people especially our youth. The goal is make money but I am not interested in chasing dollars. My faith encourages me to believe the right connections will help me achieve my financial goals.

The best way to connect with me is via email ([email protected]) in the subject line let me know the topic of the message.
